On Trying to Decide Who My Next Buddy Should Be – Pokemon GO

After a day of being excited from Team Rocket battles during GO Fest, I finally became Best Buddies with my Tyranitar Wondershadow. It took me just over a month to get to Best Buddies, mostly because I’ve not been as active as normal. Well, outside of events like GO Fest. But I managed to get Wondershadow to be excited after constantly battling with him, and the extra hearts I earned were just enough to push me over the edge and get to Best Buddies. But with Wondershadow the Tyranitar satisfied, I wondered who I should walk next. After all, that… [Continue Reading]

Eating Warframes, Taking their Powers and Giving them to Other Warframes – WHAT?

TennoLive 2020 was a roller coaster of emotions and chaos, swirling around the Heart of Deimos. It’s a new open world involving ancient Orokin and a fuckton of new Infested stuff. It’s going to be massive, building on what Fortuna and Cetus created. A strange, hideous yet beautiful landscape filled with fleshy tunnels, demented death mechs, insects used as K-Drives and more. I don’t want to talk about that though. It’s interesting, but not today’s subject. I want to talk about what came BEFORE the Heart of Deimos. Let’s talk about this whole Helminth thing. But to do so, we… [Continue Reading]

A Tennolive 2020 Article

So, I’m kinda writing this as it happens. It’s midnight on the 2nd for me, but it’s still the 1st in London, Ontario, Canada, where DE are located. Tennolive has just started and everyone is introducing themselves. There’s a lot to do, they’re starting with prizes and then they’re talking about charity things. I’m just going to write and see how this turns out, so apologies for this being not a normal article. 320k people are watching this video, just after the Tenno Trivia show has ended. How many are actually excited and how many just want Hydroid Prime, who… [Continue Reading]

Level 100 Stalker

When you’re new to Warframe, the Stalker can seem scary. He does a huge amount of damage, he has Warframe abilities just like you and, well, he’s a Stalker. The Stalker randomly shows up to avenge a boss you killed recently. That Jackal boss you were killing for Rhino parts? Yeah, this shadowy being that nullifies your abilities wants to kill you for that. And then, when you get to Uranus, the Stalker gets an upgrade! He becomes Shadow Stalker! He gradually resists all the damage you do to him and carries a big, scary sword! Well, once you’ve completed… [Continue Reading]

A Refreshing Look Back At Being a Pokemon GO Newbie

While playing around with an old phone I found (because my phone is dying), I kinda accidentally made a new Pokemon Go account. When it asked me to log in, I picked my other gmail account which I only really use as a backup. But since I was there, I thought “I might as well experience it again…” So I went ahead and made a new account. Because it’s been two years since I made my now level 40 account. Anyway, I entered a name, picked a look and chose my starter. I decided to go for Squirtle, simply because… [Continue Reading]

5 Useful Battle Pets in World of Warcraft

Since Pokémon has still somehow not released an MMO, World of Warcraft has remained the perennial title any monster-collecting MMO gets inevitably compared to. Its completely-optional minigame of traveling the world capturing pets, choosing their movesets, leveling them up and doing turn-based battle with NPC trainers and even other players is one of the most straightforward adaptations of the monster-collector formula, and I don’t know of any WoW players who didn’t sink an embarrassing amount of time into obtaining their favorite critters. While there are far, far too many battle pets to ever make a case-closed list of “The 5… [Continue Reading]

The Wisp Specter – The MVP of the Steel Path

Normally, Specters aren’t that great. Sure, they can be handy at times, but because they spawn at the same level as a mission, they can die incredibly quickly. However I’ve always been a fan of Specters in the past, especially the likes of the Ancient Healer Specter. When it comes to the Steel Path though, Specters really began to shine, because the high levels mean your Specters will have high levels too. And the real winner? Wisp Specters. Lots of Simple Buffs and a Tanky Distraction. The Wisp Specter does two things. Firstly, like all Specters, Wisp is a great… [Continue Reading]

Inaros Doesn’t Need That Much Work

With Inaros Prime having just arrived (and me having zero luck with relics), a lot of people have been complaining. People seem to want two things: Nezha Prime and a rework for Inaros. While the Nezha Prime complaints are somewhat fair (after all, he was supposed to be next), the Inaros rework seems weird. Inaros doesn’t really need a rework, does he? I’ll be honest, I don’t think so. And I definitely don’t think he needs an Ember-scale rework. Not at all. But why do people want an Inaros rework in the first place? Well, from what I’ve seen, the… [Continue Reading]

A Look at GO FEST Day 2 – ALL THE TEAM ROCKET BATTLES!

Hey, you know how I like Team Rocket battles? You know how much I like them? Well, I like them a lot. So Day 2 of GO Fest was practically made for me. Team GO Rocket has apparently taken over GO Fest and thrown confetti everywhere and it’s up to us to stop them! There were perhaps too many battles. Every single Pokestop had a Grunt on it, which would refresh every few minutes. And GO Fest players would get a Grunt in a balloon every 15 minutes as well. With a new balloon appearing not long after beating a… [Continue Reading]

A Look at GO FEST Day 1 – Your Mileage May Vary

I know GO Fest’s first day was yesterday, but I need time to write these articles. And I spent most of yesterday catching a fuckton of Pokemon. The day was split into various ‘biomes’, with different Pokemon spawning in each biome. This would change every hour, and was accompanied by some sort of global challenge. If players beat it, they’d be rewarded with some sort of bonus, like double stardust or double candy. We also had constant raids all day, with shortened timers, as well as a Welcome to Go Fest challenge which rewarded various Pokemon, including Blastoise, Venusaur, Charizard… [Continue Reading]
