5 Ways to Farm Continental Coins in Payday 2

In October 2016, Overkill added a new currency to Payday 2 called Continental Coins. Borrowed from the John Wick universe, players could use these coins to upgrade their new safehouse and, when done with that, spend the remainder upgrading their AI heisters, optimizing or salvaging their CrimeSpree, and buying extra weapon mods. For such a valuable side currency, they sure don’t accumulate very quickly, which is why today we’re covering 5 Ways to Farm Continental Coins in Payday 2. 1. Side Jobs Side Jobs are the easiest way to earn a few every day. The Safehouse Daily side job will… [Continue Reading]

Making More Use of Our Mega Pokemon

When Mega Pokemon first appeared in Pokemon GO, no one was particularly happy. Mega Pokemon were expensive to obtain and required doing raid battles for Pokemon most people already had. All for a handful of candy and 4 hours of one Mega Pokemon. Over time though, Mega Pokemon have slowly gotten better and better. The costs for evolving a Mega dropped, we got 8 hours of Mega time instead of 4, and new ways of getting Mega Candy were added, so you didn’t need to do constant raids. However, with the release of Mega Latias and Mega Latios, we’ve received… [Continue Reading]

Has Anyone Spoken to the Big White Ball lately?

For my birthday, I was given Destiny 2’s new expansion, Witch Queen, as a present. The brand new campaign was fun and interesting, and it is something I’d kinda recommend playing. There was a lot going on in the Witch Queen campaign, as well as a lot of new revelations. After all, a long-standing enemy, having been working in the shadows for all these years, suddenly pops up on a planet that vanished. We get the return of Mars and the throne world that Savathun built for herself, as well as a bunch of weird new light users. The Lucent… [Continue Reading]

Disney’s Jungle Cruise: The Real-Life Conquistadors Behind the Villains

So I just watched Jungle Cruise, the newest adventure movie released by Disney and starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. It was a good popcorn flick, fun for the whole family etc. I was intrigued by its use of historical figures in the villainous roles. I guess everything below this line is technically spoilers, though they’re pretty tame in the grand scheme of things. The two main villains (Prince Joachim of Prussia and Lope de Aguirre, the 15th century conquistador) are both real people taken straight from the history books. And most of the internet has already discussed how thoroughly-fictionalized these… [Continue Reading]

The New Eximus Enemies Are REALLY Tough!

Alongside the Angels of the Zariman update, we actually got not one but two reworks for older systems. Focus, which is what Operators use to make themselves strong, got a weird rework which shook up Focus overall. But we also got an enemy rework. More specifically, we got a rework for Eximus enemies. You know, those weirdly larger enemies that have more health and a variety of passive effects. The rework was aimed at updating Eximi into more noticeable and powerful enemies, rather than the weird enemies with auras that they were. Basically, we all wanted Eximus enemies to be… [Continue Reading]

The Weirdest Character Creation Screen

Even if you don’t play a lot of games, it’s quite common for you to  be able to change how you look. As someone starts up a new game, one of the first things they do is create a character, an avatar to represent oneself. However, there’s no standard way to make a character creation screen. Depending on the game, character creation screens can be incredibly basic or incredibly complicated, with a whole plethora of methods in order to make a character a player wants. Because there are no standards though, character creation is a minefield. No sliders, no buttons… [Continue Reading]

Voidshell Skins are Neat

One of the newer and fancier parts of the Angels of the Zariman update is the introduction of Voidshell skins. These skins are brand new and work rather differently compared to other skins. It’s all part of a new customization system, but is currently being tested, so there are only a few skins available. We got three Warframes and a set of armour for Drifter and Operator. But how do they work? Choosing Textures With the new Voidshell skins, you actually get to pick a texture as well as a colour. There are a good number of textures available, ranging… [Continue Reading]

A Lackluster Introduction for the Zariman

The Zariman 10-0 has been a massive part of Warframe’s lore, literally being the place where it all began. A ship full of families disappeared, sucked into the void and changing everyone within. This is where the Tenno came from, kids trapped within, forced to save themselves from the monsters that were formerly their parents. For such a prestigious place, a location full of mystery, chaos and death, you’d think that a proper visit to the Zariman 10-0 would be a rather impressive story piece, right? Well, no, not exactly. The first time we actually go to the Zariman is… [Continue Reading]

Sick of Space Kids

I’m gonna be honest. As much as I like Warframe, I really, really dislike anything to do with my Operator. The initial reveal of Operators was great. They sat in their special chair and we could ignore them for a bit. But pretty much every update or quest since keeps on pushing Operators further and further. And it’s getting harder to avoid using Operators. These days, you can’t really get past them. Operators become a fancy new requirement for, well, most new updates. The War Within was an obvious sequel to the Second Dream, but it’s only gotten worse from… [Continue Reading]

An Idiot Plays Vow of the Disciple

When it comes to video games, I judge myself quite harshly. I’m not particularly good at them, and I improve very slowly. However, in Destiny 2, somehow my ineptitude goes up to 11 and I an barely hanging on. Basically, I am really, amazingly bad at Destiny 2. And, somehow, I found myself doing the newest raid, Vow of the Disciple. The main encounters were perfectly fine. Starting with essentially a payload mission, we made our way inside one of the massive dark pyramids. This one belonged to Rhulk, the first disciple of the Witness. He left the door open… [Continue Reading]
