Fortuna Bounties and Ignoring the Orb Vallis

In order to level up with Fortuna, you need to do a lot of bounties. Just like Cetus, Fortuna’s boss Eudico directs us through various stages of a bounty, either sabotaging the Corpus or saving their own. It’s all very standard stuff, and the missions themselves are pretty easy. If anything, the hardest tasks are the assassination ones simply due to a lack of enemies. However, there’s another big problem with Fortuna bounties. Only the centre of the Orb Vallis exists apparently. If you grab a bounty from Eudico, all of the tasks will be in the same 2-3 areas.… [Continue Reading]

4 things to do when you have done almost everything in Warframe

I have a lot of time in Warframe, but lately, I haven’t been doing much. Sure, I played the New War and some bounties, but honestly, there isn’t too much going on. At the same time, I like to keep one eye on Warframe, and it’s still my preferred game when it comes to mindless slaughter. Even then though, it’s nice to have some side objectives to do between mindless slaughter sessions. Here are my favourite things to do when I don’t fancy doing anything else, but still want to be vaguely productive. Open relics There’s nothing better than running… [Continue Reading]

My 5 Least Favourite Shiny Pokemon (that I actually use)

I’m a simple person. If I see something shiny, then I feel I must have it. My brain works like that of a magpie or crow, always gathering shiny items. However, since most magpies and crows can’t use game consoles, they can’t really understand what a shiny Pokemon is. And as we slowly climb towards nearly a thousand different Pokemon, it’s a tad tedious to rate all of them. Instead, in today’s article, I’ll be sticking to only Pokemon that I use. Because, even if we round it down to just Pokemon GO, we’d be here all day. Garchomp First… [Continue Reading]

The Arise Quadrology: A Retrospective

On December 31st 2020, Adobe Flash offically died, taking with it a huge catalogue of ancient in-browser games. The sheer volume of animations, websites, comics, and other Flash-based media that disappeared that day is impossible to overstate. While there are countless titles I could have written this memorial article about, for some reason I decided to eulogize the worst quadrology of flash games ever made. Back in the early 2000s my brother and I regularly duoed escape-the-room games as it was a particularly good genre for paired-play. Every time one of you solved a puzzle/found another inventory item, they could… [Continue Reading]

Qi

Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of UK panel shows. Many of these are comedy panel shows, with comedians and the odd famous person taking part. The shows can be about anything, from criticizing current news and politics like Mock the Week, all the way to “I literally just told you” hosted by Jimmy Carr. Yes, that is a new show. Yes, it is also literally how the show works. In the middle of all that, we have more crazy comedy panel shows like Would I Lie to You and Taskmaster, as well as a ton of other panel shows.… [Continue Reading]

What sort of ‘end game’ do people even want?

Warframe contains a lot of content. From cramped exterminate missions to the fresh air of Cetus, all the way to space in our Railjacks, there is a LOT to do. Yet somehow, for some people, that doesn’t seem to be enough. Veteran players complain all the time that there isn’t much to do. They believe that Warframe has no end game content. But what even is end game content? The term ‘end game content’ is a very nebulous one. Players are looking for new content to challenge themselves, or, just in general, they want something to do after they’ve played… [Continue Reading]

5 Legendaries You Don’t Need to Power Up in Pokemon GO

Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon GO are very expensive to power up. They require a lot of candy, and that candy is hard to come by. Not only that, but they rotate in and out of raids. If you don’t keep up, you end up missing vital Pokemon. However, thankfully, not every legendary Pokemon is worth the time and effort to power up. They may have some very niche uses in PvP stuff, but you shouldn’t see these Pokemon in raids and the like. Here are some Legendary Pokemon that you don’t need to power up. Virizion and Cobalion The Swords… [Continue Reading]

Pumpkin Soup for the Soul

This year, the winter season has been very odd. Normally, November and December are colder, cold enough to warrant making soup. Late December and January however have proved me wrong, making things cold and wet and miserable. So I’ve decided to make some soup. Pumpkin soup. Ingredients Pumpkin of some sort, with seeds and skin removed A couple of onions, sliced Some potatoes, peeled and scrubbed About 5-6 cloves of garlic, sliced and mushed (not bulbs) A decent amount of Mixed Spices A teaspoon of cinnamon, cloves and paprika One stock cube of your choice Salt and Pepper, but not… [Continue Reading]

Caliban: A Cross between Warframes and Sentients

When the New War was released, it was actually part of an update with other stuff in it. Not only did we get two deluxe skins, but we also got new weapons. We also got Harrow Prime, a crowd favourite. Oh, and yeah, there was a Warframe released alongside all the new shinies. Caliban is a true Sentient Warframe, Erra’s pet project of making a Sentient/Warframe hybrid. But is this new amalgam any good? Let’s find out! “But Retvik, what about Revenant?” That is a fair question. Revenant was touted to be half Sentient, half Warframe. However, Revenant is the… [Continue Reading]

A Call of Cthulhu Tale: The Last Stand of Barnabas Nambly

A while back I wrote an article recounting my first experience in Call of Cthulhu. Those campaigns were all set in the default 1920s setting, but there’s actually a second available time period: the 1890s Gaslight era. After having a blast with roaring San Francisco, my group chose to rewind the clock. This time we wanted to face our next eldritch threat in London on the turn of the 19th century. For me, the first curveball came when generating stats for my new character. The online generator gave me one of the weirdest builds any of us had ever seen.… [Continue Reading]
