On Not Formaing Warframes

With the introduction of the Plains of Eidolon remaster, we were also given secondary energy colours on everything except for Kavats and Kubrows. But to access the secondary energy colours, you needed to forma your desired Warframe or weapon at least once. For most that’s not an issue. Most people have already picked their favourite weapons and Warframes and stuck one or two Forma on them. Heck, there are people out there who intentionally put more than 8 Forma on their gear just for the fun of it. But for me, this was a hard thing to do, as I… [Continue Reading]

WOLF HUNT!

Finally! Time for revenge! Time to fight the Wolf, the cowardly bastard that he is! One of my biggest complaints about Nightwave was how we so rarely ever got to fight the Wolf himself. I have captured tons of his fellow prisoners, the bitchy, molotov-throwing scumbags, but I only actually met the Wolf a grand total of 10 times, only twice of which he actually dropped any loot that was worth even picking up. But now, with the Wolf Hunt Tactical Alert, we can reliably fight the Wolf! The Wolf though does not go down easy though. There are two… [Continue Reading]

Running Around with 40% Power Strength

Running around with low amounts of power strength is often sub-optimal for most Warframes. You need that power strength to, you know, make your abilities do stuff. The only real, well-known use of having less than 100% power strength is for the Speed Nova build, and even that is a somewhat niche use of her abilities, only really useful in Defense missions where people are experience farming. Having enemies race towards you means you can kill them quicker. But lately, I’ve been using only 40% power strength on a different Warframe, without that power strength being detrimental to what I… [Continue Reading]

The One Forma Generalist Volt Build

I’ve often prided myself with getting to MR26 and not having stuck a Forma in any of my Warframes, but when a recent update brought out dual energy colours, I kinda had to forma some of my Warframes, in the name of Fashion. And the first person to get a Forma of course was my beloved Volt Prime. But that got me thinking. I’d had a zero Forma build for a long time. In fact, I had posted about this a while back in my Everyday Volt Build, which uses no Forma and works both on Volt and Volt Prime.… [Continue Reading]

The Curiosity of the Umbral Forma

The end of Night Wave season 1 is coming up, and with it we will lose the first opportunity to obtain the Umbral Forma, the reward for reaching level 29 in Nightwave. The Umbral Forma was probably the most anticipated reward when Nightwave came out. After all, it’s the first non-normal Forma we have ever seen, and only recently did we get a third type of Forma, the Aura Forma. But despite the Aura Forma being newer, it still doesn’t beat the Umbral Forma in just how… curious it is. The main reason for that is simple. The Aura Forma… [Continue Reading]

A Bunch of Reasons Why You Should Go Farm for Volt Prime Right Now

Volt Prime got released from the Prime Vault alongside Loki Prime on April 30th and I’ve already gone and started farming relics for him. And you should be out there, blitzing around the Void, farming relics and getting yourself a Volt Prime as well! Why? Here’s why! 1. Volt Prime is a Straight Upgrade! As much as I love Volt, his base stats are really, really bad. Low energy and non-existent armour make him insanely squishy. Volt Prime on the other hand has one of the highest energy pools in the game, literally double what Volt has! As for armour?… [Continue Reading]

New Arbitrations – Nothing Has Been Fixed

A recent update has appeared that changed Arbitrations, claiming to make them better. Unfortunately, said update has not done that at all. In fact, this update has taken away the one thing that made Arbitrations unique. You see, originally, if you died in an Arbitration, that was it, game over. You’d die and you’d be unable to rejoin. This meant that the meta slowly became filled with tanky frames rather than mass murder frames. Oberon, with his ability to prevent death with Phoenix Renewal is a very popular pick, but so are frames like Inaros, Rhino and Nezha, who can… [Continue Reading]

Nightwave is Kinda Naff, Really

We’re on week 9 of Nightwave. It feels like Nightwave has been around forever. Slowly plodding along, being in the background, compelling you to do random tasks for some strange reason. And frankly, after so long, my opinions on Nightwave have dropped lower and lower and lower. To the point that I miss random alerts. Random alerts weren’t always great. If you wanted Vauban for example, all you could do was wait and hope that you get an alert. There was no way around it, aside from buying things in the market. But not everything could be bought from the… [Continue Reading]

What Are Tenno Anyway?

To someone who is playing Warframe, the phrase “What are Tenno?” is a pretty easy question to answer on the surface. A Tenno is the player’s character. It’s who we are playing as from the moment we wake up in the hands of Captain Vor to the moment we free ourselves on the Moon to the moment that we watch the Lotus return home. More specifically, the Tenno is the person in the back of your ship who telepathically controls a Warframe during missions and occasionally leaps out of said Warframe to do things on their own. But deeper down,… [Continue Reading]

Ephemera – Warframe’s Unusual Effects

It was only a matter of time until Unusual Effects started fleeing Team Fortress 2 and infecting other games. In fact, Unusual Effects have been doing so for years. First these sparkly effects began infecting other nearby Valve games and before long everyone was getting into particle effects. But then everyone switched over to skins on guns and the world hasn’t been the same since. Sure, there were Unusual Guns, but they never really had the same effect that Unusual Hats did. Actually, right off the bat, I’ve kinda made a mistake here. Ephemera aren’t really Unusual Effects at all.… [Continue Reading]
