On Malachite Elite Enemies

A lot of my problems with Risk of Rain 2 are more about me needing to get good and be more greedy. I need to grab more items for myself and stop trying to constantly help my team mates. Especially if I’m playing Engineer and the team’s only source of reliable heals. I can admit I fucked up by not correctly dodging all 7 of those charging, elite bison. Sometimes I make stupid decisions and go the wrong way. Or, as is most often the case, I just get focused and can’t get to cover quickly enough, because I forgot… [Continue Reading]

What Would Mega Evolutions Entail for Pokemon Go?

In the recent Pokemon Presents video, Pokemon Go was given a small section. In it, we are informed that Go Fest, a normally local event in various cities, would be made completely digital. A new legendary Pokemon, Victini, was also teased to be released in Pokemon Go. But more importantly, we were treated to a brief trailer which very clearly suggested that we are getting Mega Evolutions. In 2020, apparently. The Pokemon Go section ends with viewers being told that Mega Evolutions will be added based on Pokemon Go’s unique gameplay. But what does this mean for Pokemon Go? Well,… [Continue Reading]

The Weird Thing I Miss in Pokemon Go – Team Rocket Grunt Battles

It’s funny what I find myself missing. Due to, well, the world collapsing and a lot of people staying indoors, Pokemon Go has been a bit of a weird thing. But even with the world being what it is, I recently moved house. Because of that, I no longer have stupidly easy access to Pokestops. Sure, I managed to get a Pokestop at the end of my road, but the density of Pokestops just isn’t there. And because of this, I can’t do the thing I weirdly enjoy most in Pokemon Go. I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because the… [Continue Reading]

Why I Am Bad At Making Videos

I bet some of you have probably forgotten about our Youtube channel, right? The SPUF of Legend was created years ago by aabicus, as part of our 1000 Articles celebration. That was way back in 2016! Feels like a century ago, if I’m honest. But anyway, aabicus wanted to make a Youtube channel and we’d end up posting video articles on there. Except we never really got into the swing of things. It turns out, publishing a 500-word article every day is far, far easier than publishing a video of any length every week. As we get closer to 3000… [Continue Reading]

MR29

Mastery Rank 29 became available for all players alongside the Deadlock Protocol. For ages, really, since the Railjack update, most players couldn’t reach MR29. The reason was simple: only Founding players had enough items to reach the amount of mastery needed for MR29. Everyone else was left with a 6,000 standing gap between MR28 and MR29, with no items to master. The Deadlock Protocol fixed that. We actually got a pretty good amount of mastery with this update. 6,000 for Protea herself, 6,000 for a MOA and 15,000 for assorted weapons. But really, to reach MR29, we only needed 6,000… [Continue Reading]

The New Jackal Boss Fight Is Boring

As part of the Corpus remaster, we got an unexpected boss rework. While you’d expect that the Sergeant, bless his heart, would be the target, you’d be wrong. In fact, our boss remaster goes to the Jackal. The Jackal was always a simple boss fight. It consisted of shooting the Jackal and not getting blown up by rockets. Since it was the first boss fight in the game after Captain Vor, it was worth redoing, right? Eh, I dunno. The new fight is just as simple. Okay, so, after a fancy cinematic in which a small MOA needlessly dies, you’re… [Continue Reading]

Doing Lich Missions With An Under-Leveled Warframe

For reasons unknown, I have decided to start forma-ing my original Volt. The one I started the game with. Despite being inches away from Mastery Rank 29, I still have him. Even though I have a perfectly serviceable Volt Prime. That little Volt got me through the early game, so I feel like I want to give something back to him. By forma-ing him to perfection. But because I’m stubborn, I didn’t want to just level up Volt on Hydron or Elite Sanctuary Onslaught. I just decided to take him on my day to day business. So I decided to… [Continue Reading]

Stupid Tips for Pokemon Go’s GBL

It’s pretty clear to me that I’m not the only person who hates the GBL. The handful of articles I’ve written about the Go Battle League constantly pop up with more views than average. In fact, my article about giving up on the GBL completely is one of the more highly-commented and viewed articles on the site. But enough negativity. the GBL is here to stay, so we might as well try and get something from it. Suck it up and use the same fucking meta all the fucking time. Just use meta Pokemon. Get yourself an Azumaril, get yourself… [Continue Reading]

The Deadlock Protocol Quest Is Pretty Fun

We haven’t had a decent Warframe quest in ages. The last ones we got were for Revenant and Excalibur Umbra, but they weren’t exactly… amazing, fun Warframe quests. Excalibur Umbra in the Sacrifice is more of a continuation of the War Within and involves a lot of the Operator. Revenant’s quest is barely a quest. But The Deadlock Protocol feels like a return to the old Warframe quest days, with the polish of modern, shiny Warframe. The Deadlock Protocol is Sands of Inaros, but for the modern era. It’s also a pretty fun quest. Also, spoilers ahead! Go play the… [Continue Reading]

On Having A Lack of Points of Interest

The way Pokestops work in Pokemon Go is that they exist on real-world locations. These locations are called Waypoints or Points of Interest. Most of these have been nominated by local communities, because, well, they’re points of interest. Many of these Pokestops tend to be things in reality that are pretty cool. Things you’d point to and say “look at that!” Of course, with the option for the general public to submit Pokestop nominations, you’re going to get people submitting, well, crap. Which means that people reviewing the nominations have to, well, review that crap. It’s a pretty regular thing… [Continue Reading]
