Blowing Up Halo 2’s “Tutorial” – Vidmaster Forever

Get Creative. First Recon Vidmaster may have been conceived in concert with Marathon, but it hasn’t been home in over twenty-five years. I doubt anyone could expect the series would get a reboot in 2023. From UESC to UNSC and back again, the eponymous Vids have been on ice for quite some time– But I doubt the spirit of Vidmaster went anywhere as Bungie shot into superstardom with Halo back in 2001. In fact, Bungie’s shift to Xbox in an era before widespread broadband internet access leaves Halo’s campaigns more replayable than Marathon ever was. Long before matchmaking, single player… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Armour Sets in Warframe

Warframe has so many cosmetics. From colour palettes to syandanas to armour to what are essentially unusual effects, there is a lot of choice to be had. Armour in particular does a lot to alter the silhouette of any Warframe, but again, there are so many choices. Here are my five favourite armour sets Saturn Six armour I adore the Saturn Six armour. It fits nicely on male frames, giving them a nice, round shape while also actually looking like armour that might protect you. The colour channels match a lot of skins as well, making the Saturn Six armour… [Continue Reading]

Making Halo 2’s Hardest Encounter Even Harder – Vidmaster Forever

The only thing worse than Jackals. First Recon Among First Person Shooters, it doesn’t get much more difficult than Halo 2 Legendary. Twenty years later and the game still finds ways to surprise and infuriate its players. Halo’s Legendary Difficulty has always been a little mean. Halo 2, however, is interactive malice. Most Legendary playthroughs end in Cairo Station’s first Pelican Hangar, but an equally nasty surprise lies in wait on Halo 2’s second mission, Outskirts. Perched on New Mombasa’s rooftops, Jackal Snipers are bastards, and are easily the most polarizing portion of Legendary Halo 2. Legendary Jackal Snipers have… [Continue Reading]

Things I Kinda Regret in Warframe

Warframe is a big game with a lot of stuff going on. From large updates to the release of new Prime Warframes, it’s easy to get overwhelmed or miss out on various things. Simply put, some mistakes were made. Here are some of mine. My choices in the New War I kinda rushed my way through the New War. I didn’t really enjoy Drifter’s combat and was desperate to get back to normal Warframe. Because of this, I ended up making a few mistakes. One of them was not taking the time to actually fight the third Archon. I was… [Continue Reading]

Random Things I Want back in Warframe

Warframe has evolved over the years, and things have changed over said years. However, not all change is good. Here are some things I want back in Warframe. Fortuna’s Purple Look The original Fortuna was lit up in neon colours, mostly purples, pinks and cyans. However, with the New War and the terrifying For Narmer sequence, Fortuna becomes decorated in red and gold, the colours of Narmer. And after the New War, Fortuna remains stuck in that red and gold. Fortuna used to look really cool. But now it’s dull and drab and the gold Orokin stuff just looks bland… [Continue Reading]

The Change To Remote Passes Is Still Stupid

Back in March 2023, Niantic nerfed remote raid passes. They made remote raid passes a lot worse, nerfing them hugely while also making them more expensive. Now, a few months later, I can confirm that remote raid passes are still nerfed to heck. And I still think these nerfs are stupid. The biggest problem is the price. Simply put, Niantic nearly doubled the cost of raid passes. They used to cost the same as premium raid passes, and also had a bundle that cost 250 coins. Now remote raid passes cost 195 coins and the bundle of three costs 525… [Continue Reading]

Five Warframes You Should Definitely Try in 2023

There are way over 50 Warframes in Warframe now. With so many to choose from, it’s hard to decide where to start. Luckily, here’s a small selection of genuinely great Warframes that you should definitely try. Citrine Citrine is a pretty new frame, obtained by playing the Mirror Defense mission on Mars. She’s easy to get and she’s actually a damn good frame. Citrine’s abilities give her both damage and protection, as she can passively heal you, grant you damage reduction and give you a large chunk of status chance. Her little crystal turret is cool as well. She does… [Continue Reading]

Deaths of the Universe

The Universe isn’t really that old. It’s about 13-14 billion years old. Sounds like a big number, but in the world of mathematics, it’s tiny. It’s relatively young, when you think about it. But what will the universe do when it does get old? How can a universe die? While this is a rather morbid question, I find myself thinking about it a lot. The death of the universe is so far away that we don’t need to stress about it. It’s something for far future humans to worry about. Assuming we get that far. Anyway, despite being so far… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Cooking Channels

I like to cook. Most of the time, I cook twice a day, for lunch and for dinner. In the mean time, I happen to watch a lot of cooking channels as well. While I don’t always follow the recipes these channels post, I do use them for inspiration when I don’t know what to cook. That being said, I find myself always missing an ingredient or two. Anyway, here are some cooking channels I recommend. Barry Lewis Barry Lewis is a cook who does all sorts of weird stuff. Originally named My Virgin Kitchen, Barry tries all kinds of… [Continue Reading]

Done with Duviri

I don’t know why, but Duviri doesn’t sit right with me. It feels weirdly disconnected. And I feel like I’m done with it. I don’t want to do anything Duviri-related any more. It’s cool and all, but I really just don’t enjoy it. A lot of what I don’t enjoy comes from the combat. I very much dislike the melee combat. It feels like an attempt to try a vaguely Dark Souls-like sort of combat but it feels disjointed, and there’s simply too much to do. You generally have too many enemies coming at you at once, so you don’t… [Continue Reading]
