Warframe’s Fortuna update has been released

After a tense few months, the Fortuna update is finally here for PC, and it’s a big one! Over 4GB of big! Sadly Consoles have to wait a bit, but they’ll get Fortuna soon! What’s in the update, you ask? Aside from the massive new area, the Orb Valis? A place that’s like, double, maybe triple the size of the Plains of Eidolon and is also a lot taller and deeper? Firstly there’s the brand new K-Drive. Because why the hell would you want to fly across the Orb Valis when you can fricking hoverboard across it? While grinding along… [Continue Reading]

Yesva Nova

I’ve never really liked Nova. She’s the one single Warframe who was designed by the community, and it shows. She’s insanely strong in a multitude of ways, fulfilling multiple niches and just generally being really, really good. Nova is also a very popular frame, an attractive frame and one that has received a huge amount of Tennogen cosmetics. But I really just don’t like her. It’s not even because she gets in the way of Volt and my other favourite Warframes. Volt’s not the fastest Warframe, Nova is because she can instantly teleport. Ivara’s one of the better Warframes for… [Continue Reading]

Destiny 2 is Free Until November 18th, So I’m Free to Ramble About it

Right now, as I type, Destiny 2, the base game at least, is free via Battle.net, not long after being part of a Humble Bundle monthly deal for €12 and was free on Playstation Plus in September. You get it from Battle.net before November 18th, it’s yours forever. Which makes it the perfect distraction while people wait for any news on Borderlands 3. You notice I didn’t say Fortuna. Because I have to reiterate this: Destiny is nothing like Warframe, apart from the batshit crazy story and the space ships across the solar system. Nope, this is Borderlands except very… [Continue Reading]

Fricking Gengar

November 3rd, from noon until 3pm local time, every raid was replaced by Gengar, with a chance to get a shiny one. It was a bit like the Moltres day, except Gengar’s a weird purple lump and Moltres is a legendary flaming chicken. I never really understood the obsession with Gengar. Sure, he can get Shadow Ball, which is a high damage attack, and he’s a Ghost type Pokemon, but he’s also the most glass cannon-y of glass cannons. If you can get a nice Shadow Ball off Gengar, sure, the damage is good. But all it takes is one… [Continue Reading]

Inktober 2018 – A Roundup of Images

Turns out, there was a Warframe Inktober thread on the official Warframe forums, in which people who successfully drew something every day for October could get a nice glyph. That’s a shame for me, because I spent my time drawing a load of crap that no one gets. Well, I say a load of crap, it makes more sense when it’s explained, picture by picture. In this article, I’m going to describe what the hell I drew for Inktober 2018. To start off, all the images are related to the Phoviverse, my collection of short stories and weird characters. Day… [Continue Reading]

Fishing on the beaches, just off Cetus

There’s not been much for me to do lately in Warframe. While I wait for the next fairly large update, while I wait for Chroma Prime to finish baking in my foundry and while I awkwardly level up a bunch of Dual Swords that I don’t like, I find myself drifting between tasks. Normally I’d be spending my time doing Fissure missions, opening relics and hoping for something nice, but in my bid to get the latest Prime items, I’ve worn myself out. The same can be said for my normal money runs on Seimeni and the Index, and Sorties… [Continue Reading]

OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead Beta – First Impressions

What’s that? OVERKILL, the people behind PAYDAY and PAYDAY 2, are doing a zombie game? Considering the fact that PAYDAY 1 is kinda like Left 4 Dead but with zombies that shoot back at you, the thought of an OVERKILL zombie game actually sounded incredibly awesome. Sure, I don’t play much PAYDAY but it’s zombies? How could they go wrong? Well, there’s lots of ways they could go wrong. Aabicus very kindly gave me access to the beta, and we played a little together, trying both missions and wandering around the camp area, where there were some things we might… [Continue Reading]

RED TEXT

The Strata Relay was just ahead. Excalibur’s landing craft, his plain Liset, landed in the hangar, and the young Tenno happily jumped out. There were very few other landing crafts here. Just that yellow Mantis landing craft which always seemed to be parked in that same spot. Didn’t seem to be any other Tenno nearby though. Didn’t matter. He was just there to trade a handful of Prime Parts for Ducats, then go back to farming for relics. Then again, this was Strata Relay. Few people ever came here. Even though it was a new relay. There wasn’t much to… [Continue Reading]

5 Quality of Life Features I’d Like to See in Pokemon GO

I do enjoy Pokemon GO, but sometimes the game feels like it’s wearing me down, that some basic actions are rather tedious and annoying, only fixed with a little bit of trial and error. So I’ve gone and made a little list of features and changes that I feel would make Pokemon GO a little bit more user friendly! The ability to view attacks or elements when picking Pokemon for battle I’ve got a good 10 Houndooms, all of which have got different attacks and different CPs. Most of them have dark attacks, but a couple of them have either… [Continue Reading]

Spiritomb and Its Mini Quest

Pokemon Go this year has a pretty nice Halloween event. Two new Generation 4 Pokemon (Drifloon and Stunky, plus their evolutions) and a huge influx of Ghost type Pokemon. Giratina has replaced Mewtwo in level 5 raids and November 3rd promises nothing but Gengar in raids for 3 hours, with Gengar having a shiny form. But there’s also some special research. A quest called A Spooky Message. The reward? A Spiritomb. As special research goes, A Spooky Message isn’t particularly difficult or anything, it’s just tedious. There are 3 parts to this special research, but stage 3 doesn’t actually do… [Continue Reading]
