Jungle Inferno, the new Team Fortress 2 Update, is here!

Team Fortress 2 Balance Changes. Image from the official TF2 website.

I know, I was supposed to do write-ups for each of the days of the Jungle Inferno update, but considering how Team Fortress 2 updates work, with reveals on the first days and the actual event being released on the last day, I didn’t think there would be much point. So day two was all the new campaign stuff, like the old Gun Mettle update but with a twist. Now, rather than ending up with a billion stock weapons with weird (and often ugly) textures on them, completing part of the new campaign grants you a War Paint, that can… [Continue Reading]

The Plains of Eidolon is not the Friendliest Place for Newbies Wanting to Play More Warframe

In the Marketplace of Cetus

Long-winded title is long-winded, but bare with me one second. I forget that not everyone’s like me. Not everyone has their beloved Warframe with high mod capacity and a bunch of weapons they like. The Plains of Eidolon is somewhat balanced when it comes to a relatively new player, someone who has made it to Ceres, someone hovering around the MR5 mark and already understands how the basics of Warframe work. Someone who has credits and resources already. But a lot of people are just wandering around with their MK1-Bratons, their Latos and their Skanas, with a handful of mods and… [Continue Reading]

HOLY FUCKING BAHRAG AN ACTUAL TF2 UPDATE

TF2 update - Jungle Inferno

I knew this would happen. Just as I’m getting my teeth into an update for one of my favourite games, my other favourite games all get updates and news as well. In this case, while the Plains of Eidolon came out on Thursday 12th, here we are not even a week later with Jungle Inferno, that update we’ve been waiting for. After more than a fucking year. And amazingly, it’s a multi-day update. Something we haven’t seen properly since the Uber Update. Which was back in 2014… no… 2013? Er… A really fucking long time ago. I suppose that’s what… [Continue Reading]

What The Fuck Do You Do? A Quick Plains of Eidolon Explanation

Out on the Plains of Eidolon

In true Warframe style, the Plains of Eidolon are as confusing as anything else in Warframe. Nothing is explained. You just have to guess. Well, not any more. Here’s a crappy, brief explanation of, well, the basics. Since no one tells you. Getting to the Plains You have to go to Cetus to go to the Plains for the first time. You’ll land near the big Orokin tower and have to walk through the market towards a massive Orokin door. The door will open and once you step through and go a certain distance, the door shuts, you get a… [Continue Reading]

Chocolate Chip Tigo Cookies

Medic's cookies

I tried something not at all different and made a bunch of chocolate chip cookies. I’ve done cookies before, but these ones are my own recipe. And this time I have pictures. Generic Chocolate Chip Cookies that Medic Made 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup Tigo chocolate milk powder. You can also use something like Cadburies Hot Chocolate powder. Basically any instant hot chocolate mix works. 175g butter, softened 2 small eggs 1 1/2 cup Flour 150g of chocolate of your choice, chopped into pieces Alternatively, use 100g of chocolate, broken into pieces, and 50g of chocolate chips like I… [Continue Reading]

Plains of Eidolon – First Look

The Plains of Eidolon

The Plains of Eidolon update is here, and it’s pretty fucking big. It’s also rather laggy and buggy and messy, since over 100 thousand players are playing Warframe (via Steam) as I type this. Goodness knows how many more are playing via the standalone version. In this article, I’m going to give you a first look into the Plains of Eidolon. There’s… a handful of problems. Just so you know, SPOILERS ahead. Firstly, nodes have been moved around. Cetus, the town relay and hub, and the Plains of Eidolon are essentially the 4th place on the Star Chart and you… [Continue Reading]

The Other Other Other Starter Frame

I’ve talked about Excalibur, the poster child and best choice for your first Warframe. I’ve talked about Mag and how I don’t really understand how she works. I’ve gone on and on about Volt and you’re all probably sick of hearing about him. But none of these three are truly the best starter character. After you defeat Vor in the tutorial quest, you’re left to wander around. You can only really go to Venus, the path to Mars is locked off behind things on Venus and Mercury, and the moon is missing. Venus is a simple and inexplicably cold planet.… [Continue Reading]

The Plains of Eidolon are Here!

The Plains of Eidolon update has arrived and is available for download for PC players of Warframe. Set on Earth and accessed via the small town of Cetus, the Plains of Eidolon is a whole new way of playing Warframe. No more going back to your ship after every mission! Now you (and any squad of up to four people) can just wander around and do as you please, whether that’s slaughtering Grineer, hunting the local wildlife, mining for rare gems, going fishing or fighting massive adapting monsters which were responsible for both the downfall of the Orokin empire and… [Continue Reading]

Wait, what, Team Fortress 2 turns 10 round about today?

We're still partying here in the Steam Powered User Forums!

You’re kidding me, right? Team Fortress 2, that silly war-themed hat simulator? That game with the goofy classes and even goofier weapons and cosmetics, is ten years old? Seriously? Well according to Team Fortress 2’s Steam Store page, yes, it is. October 10th, 2007. A whole decade ago. Bloody hell. That’s a pretty long time. Okay, it’s not really that long in the grand scheme of things. After all, I’m twenty five years old at the time of writing. The real TF2 Medic, if he were actually real, would probably be in his 80’s at least. Although the real Medic… [Continue Reading]

A Little To-Do List before visiting the Plains of Eidolon

This Valkyr has nothing to do with the Plains of Eidolon, but she looks nice.

“I’m very excited now. The anticipation. Ooh. I always learn so much… from a live dissection.” – Tyl Regor The smooth-voiced Grineer scientist’s thoughts have been echoing around the Warframe community ever since the Plains of Eidolon was announced. And yes, there will probably be a lot of dissecting (well, vivisecting, to use the proper term) going on as everyone uncovers secrets and stuff. Now, with a deadline so close, everyone’s so excited and that excitement is hard to contain. Of course, there’s going to be tons of players, old and new, all rushing around Earth, but not all of… [Continue Reading]
