The 5 Worst Buddies in Pokemon GO

I’ve always enjoyed the buddy feature in Pokemon Go. It’s basically an overly simplified Tamagotchi. A small pet that you feed berries to and it occasionally helps you out. Getting a Pokemont to Best Buddies is a long commitment. It takes around a month to do if you take the time to walk a Pokemon 6km every day. The benefits are rather hit and miss, with random daily gifts, helping you catch Pokemon and, at best Buddies, gaining an extra level. But not every Pokemon makes for a good buddy. Some Pokemon aren’t worth leveling up to Best Buddies at… [Continue Reading]

On Glass Fish and Cat Statues

Ever since getting that John Prodman poster, I’ve been considering doing the little things I never got around to. Sure, I’m Mastery Rank 30, but I’ve never played a game of Conclave. Nor have I maxed out a Focus tree or made a really overpowered Kitgun. And I never got around to finishing the Somachord collection. Or collecting Kurias and Thousand-Year Fish. Those last three are less about actual Warframe things and more about finding and scanning tiny little objects. And, despite being rather similar, they’re all a pain in the ass to find. There’s actually a myriad of small,… [Continue Reading]

Pokemon GO’s Useful Tag System That I Don’t Use

The ability to better organize Pokemon has been a much-requested feature in Pokemon GO. With no such thing as boxes or PCs, your Pokemon are displayed in one big list. While this works fine with small groups of Pokemon, when you have over 1000 Pokemon available, things get iffy. A top-range phone can deal with this fine, but older phones can experience slowdown. Just scrolling through your Pokemon can be a little too tedious. Luckily, last year, we got some QOL features to help with organization. Some of these are more useful than others. There’s two features I want to… [Continue Reading]

The Green Dot of SEO Goodness

Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, is a complicated mess. If you want to stay at the top of your game, you need to hyper-optimize everything. You need the perfect keywords, you need to fulfill all of Google’s ever-changing criteria and more. Actually good SEO can genuinely cost you hundreds or even thousands. Not just in advertising and adwords, but also manpower and upkeep. Not only are you fighting Google and search engines to be seen, but you’re also fighting literally every other website on the internet. It’s a huge amount of work, for very slow results. However, when it comes… [Continue Reading]

Machop Community Day

Another month, another Community Day. And, amusingly, yet another Kanto Pokemon! It’s actually been a long year of Kanto Community Days, but at least February 2021 brings us Machop. Machop is a great little Pokemon because it evolves into the much-loved and much-used Machamp. Machamp is a useful Pokemon and this is a great way to get a bunch. Even though we have better fighting types, Machamp is still third best. But Machamp is actually superior to both Lucario and Conkldurr for a big reason: Lucario and Conkldurr are FUCKING RARE. They are insanely rare Pokemon and it’s hard to… [Continue Reading]

The 5 Weirdest Warframe Bugs I’ve Seen

Warframe is a video game. Because it is a video game, it is sometimes hit by bugs. If you read through Reddit and the Warframe forums, you’d think Warframe is the buggiest game ever. It’s not, but it does have its fair share of bugs. After all, there’s an entire command, /unstuck, which is supposed to get you out of terrain you’re trapped in. Then again, Skyrim exists. You need official patches, unofficial patches and patches for the unofficial patches for that mess. So yeah, Warframe DOES have a few bugs, many of which are tied to hosting and peer-to-peer… [Continue Reading]

Really, Every Operation Should Have Been Like Plague Star

Operation Orphix Venom is alright. It’s a very basic one-mission operation that’s somewhat easy to play. All you have to do is shoot little red things, then shoot an Orphix in the eye. But the cost of entry to do this mission is actually quite steep. If you want to do well, you need to have a properly modded Necramech and a properly modded Archgun. Two items that most people… don’t really use. Despite those requirements, you can still play the event. If you don’t have a Necramech though, the event is a lot harder. That being said, Orphix Venom… [Continue Reading]

The Binding of Team Fortress

When I originally started writing this article, Afterbirth+ hadn’t come out yet. This DLC introduced modding and a Steam Workshop for the game Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Like other games with modding capabilities, Afterbirth+ wouldn’t just inject new content into the Binding of Isaac, but it’d make the game last longer. After all, just look at Skyrim, with all its mods keeping the game on life support. At the time though, I was only considering purchasing the DLC. The thing that put me off was the fact that I’d need to purchase both Afterbirth AND Afterbirth+. And that, in my… [Continue Reading]

The Jupiter in Warframe Makes No Sense!

Jupiter is a weird place in Warframe. It’s the start of where things get serious. There’s a bit of a difficulty spike between Jupiter and CeresĀ  And it’s also the centre of a lot of strange lore. Jupiter is where you first meet Alad V and gives you a glimpse of what’s to come. But Jupiter makes no sense! In really any way! For example, physically. Jupiter is a gas giant. It is essentially a star that couldn’t quite make it. Jupiter’s outer layers consist of permanent storms of clouds and gas, and the only solid parts of Jupiter are… [Continue Reading]

A Late Farewell to Adobe Flash

Adobe Flash has reached the ‘end of its life’. This means that it will no longer be updated, and browsers will no longer play it or automatically run it. If you still have Adobe Flash Player installed, Adobe will pester you about it. They will ask you to either uninstall Adobe Flash, or check you have the latest version. All things considered, Adobe Flash was dying out anyway, but this is the final nail in the coffin. Now, in the modern era, Adobe Flash is hardly used. But in the earlier times of the internet, most notably in the late… [Continue Reading]
