A Complete Idiot Gets Lost in No Man’s Sky

My family is weird. Or at least, some of us are. The person I shall now refer to as D (for privacy reasons) had his birthday a while back, but no one knew what to get him. In the midst of the Steam Summer Sale, we get an answer. No, D doesn’t want anything. He wants us to buy No Man’s Sky, so we can play it together. D loves No Man’s Sky and is proud of how the game has turned itself around. He wanted to share the love. So that’s what I did. I bought No Man’s Sky.… [Continue Reading]

Smallnaros

“Welcome to my throne!” Inaros beamed as he welcomed Volt in with open arms. The room was filled with Ayatan Sculptures, all thrown into a vaguely chair-shaped heap. Around the base of the Ayatan heap was a small collection of noggles, most of which were of bobble-headed Inaroses. “What do you think?” Volt glanced around the rest of the room. Everything was black with red highlights, all matching a very specific theme. “I think I left you alone for too long. I was gone for a few days and boom, you’ve made yourself into a tank and turned into the… [Continue Reading]

Jackbox Party Pack 6 – A Pleasant Surprise

Whenever there is a new Jackbox Party Pack available, I can always count on my brother to buy it and bust it out at the next family gathering. I’ve discussed some of the Jackbox Party Packs before, including the standalone games like Drawful, but the 6th edition of the Party Pack is a genuinely great addition to the collection. Actually, I’ll go ahead and say that it’s probably the most rounded of the party packs in general. There are five games in the 6th Party Pack, one of which is a sequel to an old game from a previous party… [Continue Reading]

Inktober 2019

Inktober is a challenge where you draw an item a day, generally following a list of prompts and using some sort of ink. 2019 is the third year I’ve done this and, aside from a couple of pics, I’m actually pretty happy with what I’ve drawn. A quick heads up, there are some bare breasts in here, because breasts are surprisingly fun to draw. Here’s all thirty one images, the stuff I drew for Inktober. Day 1 – Falena Falena are a weird amphibious race, part whale, part frog, part other things. This is the race that Epani sometimes appears… [Continue Reading]

Ralts Community Day

The Ralts Community Day was a few days ago and it was a genuinely very nice one. It was my brother’s birthday, we’d done a couple of raids in the morning and the afternoon was slightly cooler than Mudkip Day, which was in the middle of a massive heatwave. But Ralts Community Day was a tad different, for a handful of reasons. The first is that every single egg obtained during the event was a 10km egg, which would be 2.5km with the 1/4 hatch times on eggs. All of these eggs though would hatch into a Ralts. Which is… [Continue Reading]

Goofing Around in Video Games

With the amount of competitive engagements in both PvP and PvE games out there, it can sometimes get a little tiresome always trying to reach out to be the best of the best. So why not take a break from that and try to do fun stuff for once? Sure, doing fun stuff might not be the most efficient thing available – or can even be borderline griefing if not done in the right way – but it ensures a fun time for (hopefully) everyone involved. Be it T-Posing on hoverboards with your squad in Fortnite, trying out new mods… [Continue Reading]

Five Cool Secondary Weapons You Should Try

Secondary weapons are a very mixed bag in Warframe. Some of them are incredibly mediocre, some of them are insanely powerful. There’s a lot of stuff jumbled in between as well, but there’s only so many dual pistol weapons we can talk about. Today, we’re going to look at five cool secondary weapons you should try. They might not all be ‘meta’ weapons but they all have their own little niches. The Hand Cannon: The Pandero The Pandero is both a semi-automatic revolver-like weapon and a shotgun. I mean, physically, it makes no sense what so ever, since the clip/magazine/whatever… [Continue Reading]

Ember and the Helpful Stranger

The little Ember sent her message again, knowing that it would be ignored. Her message entered the Recruitment Channel and swiftly disappeared, pushed aside by a stream of other messages all saying things she didn’t understand. “LF AXI L3” “H 4X3 NEED HARROW” “LF PROFITTAKER” “H ESO 3/4” None of it made any sense to the little Ember. She just wanted some help, but the Cephalon from the Global Channel had sent her here. Suddenly, something beeped. A communication. A private one. Another Tenno had messaged Ember directly. “Heya, do you still need help?” Ember beamed as she hastily replied.… [Continue Reading]

Worms – An Odd Party Game

Sometimes the Jackbox Party Pack Games, games like Drawful and Survive the Internet, aren’t the sort of party game you want. Sometimes beating the shit out of each other as weird, brightly coloured rubber men isn’t the sort of thing you want as a party game either. Sometimes you want something intellectual, with a bit of strategy. Something that doesn’t involve trivia or anything like that. Out of all the games one could end up playing, the last time I had people round, we somehow ended up playing Worms Armageddon. You know, that ancient game where you control little pink… [Continue Reading]

Fun Warframe Weapons You Should Try

While the majority of weapons in Warframe are either pointy things you hit people with or guns that do various amounts of pew-pewing, there are definitely some guns that you really should try. The Ogris There’s only one rocket launcher in Warframe currently and it’s the Ogris, a really ugly lump of a weapon that actually originally used to look like the Black Box. While Grineer Bombards use the Ogris to great effect, it’s… not very good. Sure, the Ogris does a lot of damage, but you will most likely blow yourself up. Still, stick Heavy Caliber on it (+damage,… [Continue Reading]
