Team Fortress 2 update, 17/09/14

First off, the actual changes: Added Alien: Isolation promo items and enabled Full Moon holiday for one week Added Limited Quantity Item attribute on items that can no longer be crafted or purchased through the Mann Co. Store Limited Quantity Items can be placed on the Steam Community Market Removed Audition Reel from crate drop list Added Director’s Cut Reel to crate drop list Added Limited Late Summer Crate to crate drop list Fixed the Festive Bat using the lowest LOD for the first… [Continue Reading]

Why the control points in TF2 are amazing.

Lately, I’ve been playing games other than Team Fortress 2, hence my recent name changes on Steam. You can probably guess what I’ve been playing a lot of from my current name, and said being will appear in an article later on. But once again, I’m dwardling when I should be actually talking about stuff. After playing other games, I have come to the opinion that Team Fortress 2 has the best control points ever. A lot of games have control points, although they’re generally just called objectives or something boring. The whole point of one is to keep a… [Continue Reading]

Beggin’

The Beggar’s Bazooka baffles me to this very day. Why? I’ll get to that. But the other night, I did something strange and loaded up TF2 and started actually playing. Yeah, seriously. After a while, I ended up in a glitched Mann VS Machine mission, someone had put Wave 666 on Decoy and it just bugged out the whole thing. There was a never-ending stream of Scouts, Soldiers and Demomen, with the occasional random Spy or Sniper. The round never actually ended, so I decided to practice my rocket launcher aim. After enough time, someone did a restart and we tried… [Continue Reading]

Team Fortress 2 Weapons in Skyrim

This is one of those “does what it says on the tin title” articles, but if you’re in the mood for really utterly breaking the lore (and perhaps the law) in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, then this article is for you. First off, where do you get this glorious add on? Simple. The Steam Workshop. As much as the Nexus Mod Manager and all that are great, just clicking “subscribe” works well too. I found these mods by typing TF2 into the search bar. There are three addons for the TF2 weapons, a melee add on, a crossbow add… [Continue Reading]

LAZORS

When you think lasers in TF2, you think of Dr Grordbort. You think of the Cow Mangler, the Righteous Bison, the Man Melter and *shudders* the Pomson. They’re the lasers we have. It’s either those or the Machina and the little beams seen on the Wrangler and Sniper bots in MvM. But do they really fulfill that idea of a deadly laser? Not really. We complain about them but they’re not really lasers. Or at least, they’re not the awe-inspiring things you see in other video games. Let’s have a quick look around in Team Fortress 2 before we head off… [Continue Reading]

Confusion muses about bugs in: Fallout New Vegas

All games have bugs. Glitches or exploits, they make the game interesting, as long as they don’t crash the game or make it unplayable. You played a game as big and as long as I have played Fallout NV, you are bound to find a few amusing or noteworthy ones. The entire spectrum of error is full of unfriendly death laser, poor password protection and a demon performing brain surgery on you. Welcome to New Vegas. Enjoy your stay. [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToKIkw3LIoQ&w=480&h=360] If you have heard of NV, one thing you probably probably know about is “That Daily Solar Deathray Laser”… [Continue Reading]

A couple of things that TF2 really needs and still doesn’t have.

This is an old game. Valve have been working on TF2 for bloody years, and they’ve done a pretty good job, even if a lot of their choices make no sense. We whinge and complain about weapons and stuff, but even that sort of thing is rather, well, small. There’s far more things that are more important. “What’s your point, Medic?” I can hear all of you (yes, all three of you) asking. Well, how about we complain about the big things as well as the little things? Like the following stuff, which is in no particular order of significance.… [Continue Reading]
