My Three Favourite Starter Pokemon

In every Pokemon game you play, you start off with, well, a Starter Pokemon to take with you and train with. In Pokemon GO, your starter Pokemon is very basic, with a static 10/10/10 IVs and at CP10. Normally those are quickly abandoned, due to being mostly useless and cosmetic. The main series games though, your starter Pokemon is normally your best buddy forever and ever, growing alongside you. Anyway, if I were forced to pick a starter for myself, it’d be one of these lot. #4 Charmander As much as I want to like Squirtle and Bulbasaur more, Charmander… [Continue Reading]

I’d be a Great Team Rocket Leader

I’ll be blunt. The leaders of Team GO Rocket are pretty mediocre. They have all the battling skills of Jesse and James and none of the joy and enthusiasm. And their boss in particular really has an odd way of showing up, talking big then getting his ass kicked. While being the CEO of a company AND being the CEO of Team Rocket, Giovanni is lucky that he holds a majority stake of both companies and can’t be voted out via his shareholders. So, as an offer of help and support, Giovanni has been sent on holiday for a bit… [Continue Reading]

Where the Fuck did the Narmer go?

Narmer, Narmer, Narmer. Throughout the New War, everyone was shouting about Narmer. A massive religious culty thing appeared, apparently enslaving everyone and giving them all mental blowjobs. Or something like that. Really, it was just putting masks on that made everyone feel like they got what they wanted. Magic masks so powerful that they could take anyone down. And at the centre of it all? Ballas, the Orokin executioner, controlling pretty much everything, and all that worshiped him became Narmer. Either way, there were a lot of them, but after the New War’s conclusion, the Narmer seem to simply disappear.… [Continue Reading]

Wow, 9 Years of Warframe

This month, Warframe is celebrating 9 years of existence. Nine entire years of ninjas and updates, nine years of change and adaptation. The Warframe of today is nothing like the dark, eerily silent, almost stealth-like gameplay that Warframe started as. And throughout those 9 years, we’ve done everything. Not just fighting, shooting and brawling either. Warframe has dipped its toes into fishing, conservation, quests with powerful themes, customized weapons and companions, making music and so much more. And it’s not just Warframes either. The Tenno have found and salvaged all sorts of technology, including Archwing, K-Drive, Necramechs and Railjacks. Oh,… [Continue Reading]

Yay, it’s my birthday!

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to meeee! Happy birthday to me! Yep, today, April 1st, is my birthday. You know, April Fools day. And yes, I am expecting to hear a lot of the same lines, like being born for a joke. I’ve heard that one a lot. But yeah, today is a great day, a day of not just celebration of getting older, but also a chance to think back and see how things have been lately. I actually don’t normally do this (and I promised a while back to not write about myself… [Continue Reading]

My 5 Favourite Syandanas

When it comes to cosmetics in Warframe, there are lots of ways to customize yourself. But the most stand-out cosmetic is the Syandana, basically a special cape that hangs on the back of your Warframe. And because Warframe is a third person shooter, having a sexy back is actually pretty important. After all, we spent most of Waframe staring at our Warframes back. Thankfully, Syandanas can help make your back more attractive, and we have so many of them to choose from. So here are my five favourite Syandanas that I own and wear all the time. Nighthunter I did… [Continue Reading]

On Watching Card Games and Understanding Nothing

Lately, a lot of my friends have been playing card games, notably Magic the Gathering. And sometimes they stream their card games, allowing me to watch. Watching these games is quite enjoyable, but I don’t understand any of it. Weirdly, I am not too bad at learning new games. I mean, I always suck at games in general but I like to think I have some understanding of these things. If I am watching a stream, I’ll soon work out the rules and generally get the gist of a game. Sure, I can’t often replicate streamers’ skills but it’s better… [Continue Reading]

Missing Weather Effects in Pokemon GO

It’s funny how sometimes I miss really simple things. As I write this article, it has been raining outside. Not a huge amount, no floods or anything, but wet enough to warrant an umbrella. The sound of rain falling, alongside the odd splash of a car going through a puddle can often be quite relaxing. It’s also relaxing to sit inside on a rainy day, wrapped up and catching Pokemon with an incense. What I also like about Pokemon GO is how the weather in the app matches the weather outside. Or, at least, it tries to. Lately though, Pokemon… [Continue Reading]

Well, Survivors of the Void is a tricky DLC

I hadn’t played Risk of Rain 2 in a while, so when someone informed me that a DLC was coming out soon, well, I decided to get the DLC straight away, because I like Risk of Rain 2. And, so far, it’s been fun! Fun but deadly There’s lots of cool stuff in Survivors of the Void. Including the Void. And the Void Fiend. Survivors of the Void introduces two new characters and a general Void theme, as well as new levels and new items. Basically Void Everything. And all that void-y goodness wants to make you dead. There’s also… [Continue Reading]

Yet Another Intermission – Nightwave Nora’s Mix Volume 1

Well, Nightwave is back. Again. After what felt like an eternity of Intermission 2, we do have a new Nightwave to play, with both more rewards and more chores to complete. This Nightwave season though, there is no plot or anything. Named ‘Nora’s Mix Vol.1’, it’s technically a new Nightwave. But we’ve seen all of this before. It’s just another Intermission. Sure, this time it’s not called an intermission, but it certainly does act exactly like one. We have the standard 150 creds at the start, alongside a bunch of useful things early on, and the actual new stuff at… [Continue Reading]
