Normally I like these limited research events. Catch a bunch of Pokemon, do some tasks, maybe get a shiny. Normally you end up spending a ton of Pokeballs and resources but the shiny chances are often boosted. Not as much as community days, but still overall pretty good. I’m normally always happy to fight a Team Rocket Grunt. They look so spiffy in their little matching black and red outfits, and their silly one-liners. Community Day in November came with a twist this year! Instead of the normal one community day, we got two! November’s Community Days featured Magmar and Electabuzz, as well as shiny babies and shiny evolutions. It was both a pleasant change and, well, a bit of a drag. Both my two main games right now have massive updates coming up. Warframe has Deimos Arcana, which may already out by the time you’re reading this. Pokemon GO on the other hand is going to have a MASSIVE update with huge changes. Not only will levels increase to level 50, but we’re going to be seeing changes to the spawning and more. A while back, I mentioned that I started a second Pokemon Go account, so I could re-experience (and eventually write about) the new player experience. A Look Back At Pokemon GO’s Halloween Event

Pokemon GO always has pretty good Halloween events, and this year was pretty good as well. There were lots of nice bonuses, lots of Pokemon to catch and plenty of shinies to not be caught. We also had plenty of smaller events alongside the Halloween spawns, and there was plenty of things to do. Of course, though, there were some downsides as well. A Quick Look At Sending Pokemon from Pokemon GO to Pokemon HOME

Finally, Pokemon GO has some sort of connection to other Pokemon games. Sure, it’s a rather tentative, one-way path, but it’s there. Now, you can transfer Pokemon from Pokemon GO to Pokemon HOME. However, the process is one-way, and you can’t transfer anything to Pokemon GO. Not that you really need to, considering how many Legendaries you can get in Pokemon GO. We haven’t had a raid day in ages. This year, most raid events have been week-long events so you don’t need to go outside too much, for obvious reasons. Aside from GO Fest, the black and white dragons, Giratina and Darkrai, most of the raids we’ve had weren’t amazing. The other day, I saw my first practical use of someone using a Mega Pokemon in a raid. During a raid against Giratina, someone used a Mega Houndoom.
