Warframe’s Fortuna update has been released

After a tense few months, the Fortuna update is finally here for PC, and it’s a big one! Over 4GB of big! Sadly Consoles have to wait a bit, but they’ll get Fortuna soon! What’s in the update, you ask? Aside from the massive new area, the Orb Valis? A place that’s like, double, maybe triple the size of the Plains of Eidolon and is also a lot taller and deeper? Firstly there’s the brand new K-Drive. Because why the hell would you want to fly across the Orb Valis when you can fricking hoverboard across it? While grinding along… [Continue Reading]

Destiny 2 is Free Until November 18th, So I’m Free to Ramble About it

Right now, as I type, Destiny 2, the base game at least, is free via Battle.net, not long after being part of a Humble Bundle monthly deal for €12 and was free on Playstation Plus in September. You get it from Battle.net before November 18th, it’s yours forever. Which makes it the perfect distraction while people wait for any news on Borderlands 3. You notice I didn’t say Fortuna. Because I have to reiterate this: Destiny is nothing like Warframe, apart from the batshit crazy story and the space ships across the solar system. Nope, this is Borderlands except very… [Continue Reading]

The Sacrifice is Here..

“I HAVE MADE SACRIFICES, TENNO!” Vay Hek shouts at you whenever you visit Oro on Earth, in the Vay Hek Assassination mission. “ARE YOU READY FOR A SACRIFICE?” That line has basically echoed through the Warframe community ever since the Sacrifice was teased last Tennocon. The next Tennocon starts in July, they promised the Sacrifice would be out by then and now it’s out. Update 23 is here, downloading as I speak. A whole 2GB worth of stuff. Somewhat close in size to the Plains of Eidolon, even though it’s apparently just a quest and a bunch of cosmetics and… [Continue Reading]

I know you all love free games, so it’s almost my duty to let you know about them. Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition is currently available for free via the Humble Bundle store. What is Galactic Civilizations II (or Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords, which is its full title)? According to the Humble Bundle page, it’s a PC strategy game based around exploring and conquering a galaxy,… [Continue Reading]

The Humble Bundle is having a two-day giveaway for The Darkness II! It’s been two years since Jackie Estacado used The Darkness to kill the men responsible for his girlfriend’s murder. There’s been a bunch of free games lately that I haven’t gotten around to announcing, but Grim Fandango Remastered finally got me out of my chair and into my other chair to make an announcement. Jungle Inferno, the new Team Fortress 2 Update, is here!

I know, I was supposed to do write-ups for each of the days of the Jungle Inferno update, but considering how Team Fortress 2 updates work, with reveals on the first days and the actual event being released on the last day, I didn’t think there would be much point. So day two was all the new campaign stuff, like the old Gun Mettle update but with a twist. Now, rather than ending up with a billion stock weapons with weird (and often ugly) textures on them, completing part of the new campaign grants you a War Paint, that can… [Continue Reading]

HOLY FUCKING BAHRAG AN ACTUAL TF2 UPDATE

I knew this would happen. Just as I’m getting my teeth into an update for one of my favourite games, my other favourite games all get updates and news as well. In this case, while the Plains of Eidolon came out on Thursday 12th, here we are not even a week later with Jungle Inferno, that update we’ve been waiting for. After more than a fucking year. And amazingly, it’s a multi-day update. Something we haven’t seen properly since the Uber Update. Which was back in 2014… no… 2013? Er… A really fucking long time ago. I suppose that’s what… [Continue Reading]
