Avengers – Infinity War – Movie Review

Well, that was an awesome two and a half hours! Didn’t actually feel like two and a half hours at all. I suppose right from the start that’s a glowing review if you sit through a two and a half hour long movie and hardly even notice. Funnily enough, apart from one prick at the beginning of the movie (shouting at teenagers to be quiet and causing the rest of us, kids included, to miss the first 30 seconds of dialogue because he’s an entitled prick – literally all they said was “ooh the movie’s starting”), the theater was weirdly… [Continue Reading]

Destiny 2 – The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Years after the TF2 blog stopped being constantly updated, I decided to personally consider “The Daily SPUF” as my new official TF2 blog. However, it wasn’t long until the lack of content in TF2 made The Daily SPUF writers to place other games in the spotlight. I personally wouldn’t have gotten myself addicted to Warframe otherwise. Almost half a year ago when I first started writing this article, I was extremely excited about Destiny 2 coming to PC, even though I didn’t have a clue on how exactly should I approach new players. My initial aim was to introduce and… [Continue Reading]

IT’S OVER 1900! Celebrating 1900 articles and 900 Medic articles – Giveaway!

I said I wouldn’t do milestone articles and stuff but I like the number 900 and the number 1900 has the number 900 in it as well, so double bubble. The 2000th article is still a way away, and it’s unlikely that the articles I write will coincide with the big 2K. Also I just kinda wanted to do a giveaway. But first off, let’s spend a moment thinking just how awesome we are, having published over 1900 articles on the Daily SPUF, one a day since our inception, and the fact that Missy Medic here, the person writing this… [Continue Reading]

Thick

Sirens blared as the three Tenno charged through the Corpus base. They were looking for their target, a teleporting Corpus Tech who had knowledge on a super weapon the Corpus were looking to build for the Grineer. The Corpus Tech in question was teleporting between rooms, but so far the Tenno had kept up. Suddenly, a lockdown was initiated. While the first two Tenno managed to slide under the doors into the same room as the Tech, the third was locked out. “You alright back there, Excal?” Volt shouted as he drew his polearm. “I’ll be fine…” Excalibur shouted back.… [Continue Reading]

An Idea for a Sergeant Rework

I have two favourite bosses in Warframe. Tyl Regor is an amazing boss with an amazing fight in a cool area, and he’s got this buttery smooth voice that taunts you, making the long, tiring farm for Equinox not nearly as awful as it should be. Tyl Regor’s boss fight is enjoyable and has good mechanics. My other favourite boss, the Sergeant? Uh, not so much. You see, the Sergeant is a relic of the past. Back when Warframe was young, most bosses were just bigger versions of normal enemies, in a different colour. Vay Hek was originally just a… [Continue Reading]

Tentatively Start Playing Sanctuary Onslaught Now

The other day, I suggested avoiding Sanctuary Onslaught because the mission was, to put it lightly, a mess. Luckily, the following update fixed a large number of problems. The game mode is pretty playable now, way better than it used to be. Enemies spawn properly now, a lot of the random crashes were fixed and the whole efficiency problem is better than it used to be. And the rewards are a bit better now. The chances of obtaining both Khora and the Lato and Braton Vandals is still astonishingly low and the Synthetic Eidolon Shards are still an utter waste… [Continue Reading]

The Trouble With Eidolons

Eidolon hunts are cool. You follow a massive, wailing monster across the Plains, breaking it down bit by bit until it screams, falls silent and rises into the air, subdued by your lures and dragged off into nothingness. It’s really… quite horrific when you think about it, as the Teralyst just wanders around the Plains mourning the loss of its family and doing nothing else until we attack it. Then we capture it using a bunch of horrible Grineer drones and the spirits of their own mini brethren. But the problem is, if you want to kill an Eidolon or… [Continue Reading]

Why Greed Mode Sucks

Every expansion to The Binding of Issac had a sort of theme to them.  With Wrath of the Lamb, it was spiders.  Spider enemies and some spider items, among other things.  Rebirth gave us poop enemies.  With Afterbirth came Greed stuff, after the Greed miniboss.  Head of the Keeper, a new playable Greed character that’s next in a spiral to create an even worse character to suffer through, and the ever wonderful Greed Mode. Greed Mode is an alternative way to play Issac, in a sort of quick and distilled version of the game.  Every floor is the same, a… [Continue Reading]
