An Unwelcome Monologue

Four Warframes against the Ropalolyst

The Jovian Concord brings with it some very strange new… story elements. We discovered in the later end of Night Wave episode 1 that Alad V was making Amalgam beings – beings that were part Sentient, part something else, and that whole Sentient Hybrid thing is basically a massive part of this new update. Actually, it’s the main theme of this update, probably more so than “Jupiter gets a makeover”. There’s more Sentients in this update than on the Plains of Eidolon. And the Plains of Eidolon are covered with bits of dead Sentient. Spoilers ahead, by the way. But… [Continue Reading]

Jupiter’s New Look – The Jovian Accord

An outdoors Dock on Jupiter

The Jovian Accord is Warframe’s latest big update, featuring a new boss fight, a new game mode, a new Warframe, some new weapons, some new enemies and, most importantly, a complete do-over of the Jupiter Gas City Tileset. Now, the Gas City Tileset isn’t really that old. In fact, there are plenty of planets that actually needed reworks way before Jupiter did. Saturn, the other major gas giant, shares all the same tilesets that Mercury does and has most of its missions on Grineer ships. Meanwhile, Neptune and Pluto both share tilesets with Venus and Europa. But alas, we got… [Continue Reading]

A Few Thoughts for Four Games of Fortnite

My 4th game of fortnite and the guy who killed me

So I played Fortnite. I’ve actually had it installed for a while, for so long in fact that when I actually got around to actually playing it with actual people, I had to download a 6GB update. And… despite the huge fan base, despite the love it or hate it attitude people have, I… I kinda don’t really have much to say about it. I mean, I have things I could say about it, but none of it is particularly interesting and most of what I have to say has probably already been said before. I’m going to try and… [Continue Reading]

5 Cool Melee Weapons You Should Try

Umbra and Skiajati

Destroying your enemies with fancy sticks is always a good way to pass the time. But there are a huge number of melee weapons in Warframe, so which ones are worth using? Which ones are good? And more importantly, which ones are fun? Now, I’m of the opinion that you should try at least every main type of weapon, but for those who just want to use something fun, here’s five of the coolest and most fun melee weapons you can use. The Zenistar Of course the Zenistar is on this list. For a long time, the Zenistar was the… [Continue Reading]

Torchic Community Day

Pokemon Go Shiny Blaziken

I really enjoyed the Torchic Community Day. Just like the previous Bagon and Totodile ones, the Torchic Community day gave us three hours of KFC battered and breaded chicken fun as we baked in the sun while throwing balls at cute digital flightless birds. Mostly. Torchic Day was on Sunday rather than Saturday this month, meaning I saw a few more people wandering around. There’s normally two good spots to camp and catch Pokemon – the harbour and town hall and while I’ve always opted for town hall (because it’s shadier and you don’t get harassed by people trying to… [Continue Reading]

No Longer Being Safe in Water

Underwater in Minecraft 1.13

It’s no longer safe to be in water in Minecraft any more. Actually, nowhere in Minecraft in general is safe, because there are so many enemies that wander around, even during the day. But water was the one place I considered to always be safe and it really isn’t any more. I’m not saying that water used to be better. In fact, bodies of water used to be pretty crap. Back in Minecraft 1.8 (and a lot of previous versions as well), water was boring. There was literally nothing in it apart from, well, water. Oceans were vast, empty masses… [Continue Reading]

Leafeon*, Glaceon*, Shellos, Gible and more have arrived in Pokemon Go!

Pokemon Go Shellos Blue Variant

*Assuming you have 200 coins or someone to buy a special lure for you. The last few Pokemon of the Sinnoh Region have finally arrived! After being left behind for a damn long time, not to mention the fact that some Pokemon from Generation 3 still aren’t available, we can finally grab the last few non-Legendary Pokemon for the Sinnoh Pokedex! The most recent Pokemon Go update, straight after the Detective Pikachu event, has brought out the remaining, more interesting Pokemon and dumped them into the wild. Except for Rotom and a bunch of Legendaries and Mythicals, but most of… [Continue Reading]

How to Level Up Quickly With Solaris United

Pictured: The Exploiter Orb, because I couldn't stand still long enough to get a good shot of the Profit-Taker Orb

Grinding for Standing to level up with various Syndicates can feel boring and repetitive and often feel that it’s not worth it. That’s because the Syndicate grind IS boring and repetitive. The only way it isn’t boring and repetitive is to be an older player who has a massive backlog of Syndicate Medallions for the 6 angry Syndicates and a ton of spare resources for Solaris United, Vox Solaris and the Quills, in the form of Debt Bonds, Toroids and Sentient Cores. Sure, sure, you can spend all your life fishing and mining, mainly for Cetus and Solaris United, but… [Continue Reading]

Almost Permanent Invisibility

Spot the Ivara in the Plains

There are several ways to turn invisible in Warframe, but despite having tried them all, I’ve always preferred Ivara’s invisibility. I wasn’t sure why at first, but the more I play Ivara, the more I realise just how long I can be invisible for. Okay, sure, it’s not quite forever, but it’s a long time. There are currently four frames with invisibility in Warframe. Loki and Ash both turn invisible for a set duration. One their invisibility is activated, they remain invisible until that duration runs out, no matter whether they fire their guns or murder things or activate consoles… [Continue Reading]

Bad Bloody Luck

Volt Prime sitting on a bit of dead Sentient

I have had the worst fucking luck lately. Everything has gone wrong and I’ve got the worst of everything. Frankly, it’s beginning to piss me off, so I’m going to rant about it a little. Let’s start with the Pixelmon server I normally play on. Because holy shit my luck there has been the worst. This server has a voting system (many Minecraft servers do) and you vote for the server and earn in-game rewards. With every vote, you also earn some Vote Credits, and you can save them up to buy a Legendary or a Random Legendary. Most of… [Continue Reading]
