Beyond Light – Wondering Why I Bothered with a “Part 1”

I forgot my character can speak

The other day, I wrote about the main campaign in Destiny 2. Beyond Light, as the name suggests, involves our player character discovering a new way to manipulate the world around us instead of using, well, Light. In that previous article, I named it “part 1” because I thought it’d be really long. Turns out, nothing is long when I have my happy ice sled Sparrow. So, uh, let’s just get back to where we were, having just beaten one of the big boss’s henchmen. Just a heads up, I will be kinda spoiling things in this article. But Beyond… [Continue Reading]

Thoughts About the Beyond Light campaign – 1

Destiny 2 Loading Screen

I know, I’m pretty damn late to the party here. Especially since the Witch Queen will come out in February 2022. I’ve never really been that fond of Destiny 2’s campaign quests and I’m not really sure why. But after spending ages just leveling stuff up, I decided I wanted to try Stasis. After all, it’s a whole new type of magical element, a complete fourth class. However, Stasis is… well, kinda evil. It’s literally an element of the Darkness, you know, the big bad black triangles that have been threatening us for like a year though. It was about… [Continue Reading]

No Longer Battling for Mastery

Recreating my original early-game look, with the MK1-Bo, Paris and my Furis which I still have. I wonder what I would have thought of the Plains of Eidolon back when I was new.

When True Master finally became accessible back in 2020, I worked hard to reach it. After all, the title of True Master was what I had been aiming for, for ages. The ultimate rank, above everything else. Attaining True Master wasn’t always a dream. Heck, I never thought I’d go past MR18, having unlocked the entirety of Warframe when it came to mastery. But here I am, sitting at not just True Master, but Legendary 1. A whole extra level AFTER becoming True Master. And I still have plenty of new gear to level up. It’s not going to stop.… [Continue Reading]

Destiny 2’s RNG Leveling Up Process

Some sort of tree thing in Destiny 2

I’ll be honest, while I do like Destiny 2, I find it really hard to play on my own. My Light Level is rather low and I don’t have particularly good luck when it comes to leveling up. While I can sorta do alright in normal Strikes and the like, Destiny 2 is not a game I feel like I can play solo. It doesn’t help that playing Destiny 2 kinda feels like a chore. But there is something that bothers me a little bit more than just needing to get good. I’m not 100% sure but it seems that… [Continue Reading]

5 Cute Snakes in Valve Games

The TF2 community has been going cuckoo over the adorable new snakes Valve added to cp_snakewater. From memes to fanart to YouTube videos, these slithery low-poly serpents are recieving a king’s welcome from the update-starved community. And I absolutely can’t blame them, I’ve already asked my boyfriend to make me a plush. But the Snakewater snakes aren’t the only lovable vipers hidden within Valve’s game catalogue. 1. Sally the Safety Serpent The ctf_2fort_invasion map is a treasure trove of easter eggs. Especially in the fan-submitted posters on the walls. My favorite one stars Sally reminding players of the six S’s… [Continue Reading]

The Ability to Change Forms in Pokemon GO

Furfrou with the Change Form button

Pokemon GO recently had a Fashion Week. In it, we got a bunch of Pokemon with hats on, and a chance to be shiny. But more importantly, a new feature was somewhat revealed, alongside the Pokemon Furfrou. The new feature was the ability to change forms, something very new in Pokemon GO. At least, compared to the main series games. But is this feature actually any good? On the surface, yes. Currently, only Furfrou has this feature. In the main games, there are LOTS of different forms, but Pokemon GO is starting with one mainly cosmetic look. Unlike the normal… [Continue Reading]

Seven Hours for a Zarude

The new Mythical Pokemon, Zarude

All of a sudden, we are swimming in special research. Pokemon GO does tend to have a lot of research tasks. But many of them are based on an event and just give a handful of extra rewards. On the flip side, we’ve also had a lot of special research, which can be done at our leisure. Currently, we have Hoopa research and Meloetta research. But on October 1st, we got something that’s genuinely really new. Zarude Special Research Yep, before the many Mythical Pokemon we don’t have, we had a Zarude research task thrown at us. The only real… [Continue Reading]

5 Small Changes I’d Like to See in Railjack Missions

A Railjack in the middle of a Void Storm

I enjoy playing Railjack. While it’s not something I play all of the time, Railjack does offer a nice distraction from the normal grind. However, Railjack had a bit of a buggy start, and it still has problems. While I could ramble on and on about Railjack’s bigger issues, I’d instead like some small quality of life features. After all, you’ve probably already heard about all the big fuck-ups. Anyway, here’s 5 little things I’d like for Railjack. Make it more obvious how you can leave a squad It’s not always understood when you can leave a squad in Railjack.… [Continue Reading]

Confusion with New Mastery Ranks

Nova using Molecular Prime

“Hey! What are you doing here?” Volt glanced away from the console he was trying to hack, so he could see who was shouting at him. “Uh, hacking the console so we can leave this ship before it explodes?” Volt replied calmly. The Tenno in person was a Gauss, with all the armour he could fit on his body. “You’re not supposed to be in this Sortie mission!” “Uh, why not?” With a flick of his wrist, Volt retracted his Parazon and started heading towards extraction, as did the rest of the team. However, the Gauss kept on sprinting forward… [Continue Reading]

Retvik’s Top 5 Favourite Secondary Weapons in Warframe

I did up the saturation on this picture in Captura, but eh, still looks nice.

Secondary weapons in Warframe are kinda odd. On the one hand, they are much smaller than primary weapons. But secondary weapons are also a tad more… gimmicky. Because secondary weapons are smaller, and simpler to use, you end up getting a LOT of variance. On top of that, we have a lot of akimbo, double gun options, which Primaries have no access to. And, amusingly, secondary weapons can often be more powerful than primary weapons. But that’s a discussion for another time. Anyway, here are my top five Warframe secondary weapons. Kuva Twin Stubbas I like guns that go daka… [Continue Reading]
