7 Tips for Leveling Up Your Buddy in Pokemon GO

Pokemon GO’s buddy system is somewhat weird. Walking a buddy used to just be a way to earn candy. But now, your buddy can earn XL and Mega candt, show you Pokestops you haven’t spun before and gives you presents of varying value. At Best Buddy, your Pokemon gains an extra level, which can take a Pokemon to level 51 at most. However, the buddy system does take a lot of time, especially if you are looking to use a Legendary Pokemon. Thankfully though, I have some tips for you that can make leveling up a buddy easier. You don’t… [Continue Reading]

Sticky Jumper vs Machine

Happy Jump Day! Every 16th of September, The Daily SPUF celebrates Jump Day to remember the poor Sticky Jumper who lost its 3rd-8th bombs on this fateful date in 2013. As I’ve mentioned in numerous articles before, the Sticky Jumper is one of my favorite weapons. I will forever defend it as a perfectly valid playstyle in TF2. But even I didn’t think that versatility was good enough to qualify for anything beyond meme status in Mann Vs Machine! But after seeing it listed as “Usable” in this thread and this comment I decided to give it a try. I… [Continue Reading]

Star Wars: Republic Commando, a 2021 Review

Growing up, I loved Star Wars Battlefront II and its predecessor. It probably still ranks in my top 3 games of all time. But I’d actually never played Republic Commando until this year, despite knowing it was another iconic Star Wars shooter from the same era. Now that I’ve played it, I can 100% see what all the hype was about. The first thing you’ll notice while playing through is how modern the game feels. The controls are crisp, the sound design and lighting are immersive, and there’s a surprisingly-high emphasis on environmental storytelling. The campaigns are full of memorable… [Continue Reading]

3 Reasons Why You Should Be Playing Plague Star Right Now!

After what felt like an eternity, Plague Star is back in the Plains of Eidolon. This rather simple event involves not just Grineer but Infested too. Basically, the premise is that a meteor filled with Infested has crash-landed in the Plains of Eidolon, spreading their illness everywhere. The poor people in Cetus have no real way to protect against it, and thus hire the Tenno to help them. Luckily, the task isn’t too difficult. All you have to do is steal some Grinner toxins, stick them in a mixer then use a drone to dump said toxin onto the massive… [Continue Reading]

What the Hell is Going On With the Saints Row Reboot?

I like the Saints Row series. It’s fun, chaotic and much like a giant sandbox. But the Saints Row series really went off the deep end in Saints Row 4, literally destroying the whole damn planet. Somehow, Gat Out of Hell managed to follow that game, but frankly, we’re at a dead end for the series. With the planet and most of the supporting cast gone, there’s only one last avenue we can travel down. Saints Row is getting a reboot, with a brand new game, a reboot showing the start of the Saints. However, when we finally saw the… [Continue Reading]

Where Have All The Good Research Tasks Gone?

Research tasks are integral to Pokemon GO. In exchange for a simple task, you are rewarded with useful items and Pokemon. At midnight, every day, every Pokestop gives a new research task when spun. However, some tasks are less useful than others. Since all the research tasks are limited to 3, you have to pick and choose somewhat carefully, or deleting some and keeping others. Not every task is equal. There are a lot of tasks available. While we do occasionally get new tasks, there’s always a collection of normal research tasks available all the time. These include basic tasks… [Continue Reading]

I Finally Figured Out Why I Do and Don’t Like Destiny 2

I have a massive love/hate relationship with Destiny 2. It’s a game that I have drifted to and from, right from the start. Okay, sure, I never played Destiny 1. But when the beta came out on PC, aabicus and I played it, doing the one available strike on Nesus. While it was, well, alright, Destiny 2 didn’t really stick to me. In fact, many of the previous articles I have written about Destiny 2 have been somewhat negative. In the mean time, I played other games. Warframe is the big name among them, and had just the right balance… [Continue Reading]

A Review of Suicide Squad That Isn’t Really a Review

The other week, I went to see Suicide Squad with some family. I’ve always been a fan of super hero movies, and people were saying that this one was good. At the very least, it couldn’t have been much worse than the previous Suicide Squad, right? Well, yes, it was better. But something about Suicide Squad bothered me. Before I get to that, let’s just cover the basics. SOME SPOILERS AHEAD, YOU ARE BEING WARNED NOW. IF YOU DON’T WANT THE MOVIE TO BE SPOILED, THEN LEAVE NOW. And preferably go watch the movie. Because it was legitimately a lot… [Continue Reading]

My Weird Way of Naming Pokemon in Pokemon GO

Whenever I browse my Friends List, looking to send gifts, I always tend to note what their Pokemon Buddies are called. After all, pretty much everyone in Pokemon GO has a buddy. What’s interesting though is when you can see their companion’s names. Many people have slightly different ways of naming their Pokemon. Some people just leave their buddy unnamed, but I like seeing people walking their Hundos and Shinies. It’s pretty obvious when someone is walking a 100% IVs Pokemon too. Either they have 100% in the Pokemon’s name, or a 15/15/15. Occasionally, you’ll also see the odd 14… [Continue Reading]

Railjack Endless Missions Are Boring

When it comes to Railjack Endless Missions, the whole idea is actually pretty new. Corpus Proxima missions were only added this year. However, with new nodes being added, like Corpus Survival, the Corpus Proxima areas just aren’t that fun. And, somehow, they also manage to make endless missions like Survival boring too. Your ship is just a taxi. In Railjack endless missions like Defense and Survival, your ship doesn’t matter at all. Sure, there’s probably some sort of side objective that needs doing, like blowing up a ship or something. But afterwards, you just park your ship near the Corpus… [Continue Reading]
