More Small Additions Warframe Could Benefit From

As much as I love Warframe, there’s always little tiny things that bug me. But most of the time, these things just aren’t enough to warrant a complete article. So once again, I’m clumping several smaller ideas and thoughts into one single article. This article was brought to you by the Lenz, the world’s best rocket launcher disguised as a crossbow. Self damage marks the start of this article. Because self damage is insane in Warframe. Most explosive weapons WILL kill you in a single shot. The Lenz isn’t actually too bad, since you have a second to run away,… [Continue Reading]

Tips for Cooking Chicken

I just put a large chicken into the oven. In two hours, it should be cooked, but I’ll have to turn it over in an hour. In the mean time, here are some tips on cooking chicken. Whole Chicken Probably the easiest thing to get wrong, to be honest. My nana always said the time to cook a chicken is 20 minutes per pound in a hot oven, plus twenty minutes. But that’s not exactly accurate. It really depends on how big the chicken is, how fresh it is, and how hot the oven is (is it gas, electric, both… [Continue Reading]

Shoot whoever’s wearing a different coloured shirt!

Team-based games, be it the UEFA Champions League or FootLOL: Epic Fail League, do the sensible thing of having the teams wear team jerseys of different colours. After all, as a spectator sport, it makes sense to do this since the audience can now easily tell who’s on what team. For the players, it allows them to immediately tell whether to pass the ball to the person in front of him or to try and knock his teeth out with the ball. And this concept, of course, goes into video games. For example, in TF2, the teams wear team-coloured clothing. Just… [Continue Reading]

Random Tips for the Plains of Eidolon

You may think I’m beating a dead horse or otherwise going on and on about this big new update, especially when I should be talking about the Team Fortress 2 update that’s FINALLY happening. But here I am, giving people a hand with a Warframe update that sends you in blind. But before we start with specifics, there’s a Halloween colour palette available in the Warframe market for 1 credit, until November 1st. Not platinum. Credit. Just search Halloween on the market and purchase the palette and it’ll be yours forever. I bought it last year and the Halloween palette… [Continue Reading]

The Plight of the Parrot

As a proud and longtime owner of Giddeon the parrot in Team Fortress 2, I was super excited to see Ana’s new pirate skin in the 2017 Halloween event. Much like I was able to port my beloved swarm of flies into Payday 2 with the Plague Doctor mask, I could now run with a feathery friend in another one of my favorite shooters! Luckily I have a policy of buying skins at the end of the event, in case it drops out of a lootbox, because that meant I saw this reddit thread before wasting 3000 coins. The parrot doesn’t even… [Continue Reading]

Jungle Inferno, the new Team Fortress 2 Update, is here!

I know, I was supposed to do write-ups for each of the days of the Jungle Inferno update, but considering how Team Fortress 2 updates work, with reveals on the first days and the actual event being released on the last day, I didn’t think there would be much point. So day two was all the new campaign stuff, like the old Gun Mettle update but with a twist. Now, rather than ending up with a billion stock weapons with weird (and often ugly) textures on them, completing part of the new campaign grants you a War Paint, that can… [Continue Reading]

Cold Killer

The Cold Killer is a thick white hood for the Sniper. It also gives Sniper a white cap, winter goggles and a white undershirt. Since Sniper is born and raised in Australia, sending him to cold places like Coldfront is about as comfortable for him as keeping a camel in a fridge. Thus, some nice, thick clothing is probable pretty welcomed by him. the goggles are a nice touch too, reducing the glare from snow so that he can actually see properly in snowy environments without blinding himself. The first official map featuring snow is Viaduct in August 13, 2009. The… [Continue Reading]

SMITE – My Guardians

Ahh, guardians. The class where no matter what happens, it’s your fault. Assassin jumped into a 1v5 expecting to survive? “You Rock! Cancel that!” Someone under attack but your abilities are on cooldown after saving another teammate? “You Rock! Cancel That!” Shielding a teammate on critical health with your body, every ability you’ve got, both relics with two and a half minute cooldowns and they still die because they didn’t have the sense to just leave the fight like a sane person? You guessed it: “You Rock! Cancel That!” But seriously, guardians can be great fun provided your team work… [Continue Reading]

The Plains of Eidolon is not the Friendliest Place for Newbies Wanting to Play More Warframe

Long-winded title is long-winded, but bare with me one second. I forget that not everyone’s like me. Not everyone has their beloved Warframe with high mod capacity and a bunch of weapons they like. The Plains of Eidolon is somewhat balanced when it comes to a relatively new player, someone who has made it to Ceres, someone hovering around the MR5 mark and already understands how the basics of Warframe work. Someone who has credits and resources already. But a lot of people are just wandering around with their MK1-Bratons, their Latos and their Skanas, with a handful of mods and… [Continue Reading]

The Crosslinker’s Coil and more than a bit of digressing

The Crosslinker’s Coil is a promotional item for the game Gunpoint, modeled after the hat of the main character, Richard Conway. Since the game is 8-bit, I really can’t tell if this hat is a faithful reproduction of Conway’s hat or not. The Crosslinker’s Coil is named after the main gadget of the game, the Crosslink. It is a brown, leather wide-brimmed fedora. There is a coil of yellow wires at where a ribbon usually is, secured in place by black electrical tape. On the left side of the hat is a battery and switch compartment with two team-coloured batteries.… [Continue Reading]
