Stock weapons are wonderful. They’re some of the best weapons around. Well-built, fairly easy to use, fairly balanced and, best of all, they’re free, unless you want a strange version. But some stock weapons are completely wiped out by their unlockable counterparts. These lost weapons will be what we’re looking at today.

If you’re as unlucky as I am, not having internet connection for a while is a regular occurrence. Sometimes it lasts no more than a few minutes, other times, you’re detached from the interwebz for a good couple of days. While I generally have other things to do, such as studying, working, cleaning or making weapons out of cardboard, some of you might be desperate to get your TF2 fix. Here’s some hints and tips for you.
Since my last article, I still haven’t recovered from Vlepsophobia, the fear of scopes. It’s just so dark and scary, like a tunnel of light when someone dies! It’s horrible! Thankfully, the nice people behind all our weapons made loads of alternatives to these scopes, one of which allows you to remain as a Sniper. But silly me, I forgot a couple of weapons…

With blogs, it’s important to keep them up to date with new content. That’s a very hard job to do, because most things change all the time. Even immobile things like rocks and Brass Beast Heavies change. At best, a blog ought to have content posted regularly, even if it doesn’t go back and fix things that may have changed and stuff like that. The Stock Medi Gun is considered one of the most powerful weapons in the game, despite the fact that it doesn’t do anything damage-wise. After a nice 40 or so seconds, you get invulnerability for eight seconds, which can only be ruined by knock back and things like that. It’s a force to be reckoned with, a force that can only be countered by sheer power. Unless that power happens to be hordes of robots. The other day, I was browsing the Team Fortress wiki when I stumbled across the Short Stop. To me, the Short Stop has always been one of those ‘in between’ weapons. It’s a scatter gun and it’s a pistol. It’s a good idea and I used to use it quite a lot in the Milkman set, but the poor hybrid gun is rather sickly, due to all the changes it has endured. Then it occurred to me, what if we had in between weapons for other classes?
One of the many, many reasons I have never gotten into Competitive TF2 is because I’ve always been the sort of person who can’t really get the hang of explosive jumping. I just overall suck at moving in a three dimensional space which is controlled by two dimensional movements. That sounds complicated, but it’s just a fancy way of saying that I’m crap.
