Are the Monthly Team Rocket Quests Too Difficult?

In the past, we have discussed a lot of Team Go Rocket stuff, from how to beat them to the rather weird, outlandish theories I have about all of them being clones. But I haven’t really discussed the actual difficulty level of these monthly research quests. Sure, I mentioned how the “purify Pokemon” step is easier to do. And I was glad when Arlo stopped having Scyther as his starting Pokemon. But in general, is this special research too difficult? I’m going to say yes. Before I go on though, I feel I should point out that I can be… [Continue Reading]

Boomkong – The Joy of Wukong and Exploding Bows

I’ve never been a fan of exploding weapons in Warframe. Explosive weaponry is simply too scary for the average Tenno. Because of how much damage explosive weapons do, we blow ourselves up. A lot. To the point that we leave most explosive weapons to one side. In fact, the only really popular explosive weapons were originally weapons like the Tonkor… which had next to no self-damage. Which was removed. The Exceptions to the Rule The Kuva Bramma on the other hand is quite a popular weapon. While it IS a Kuva weapon and requires killing a Lich to obtain, it’s… [Continue Reading]

Team Fortress 2 Is An Amazing Drop In, Drop Out Game

For ages, Battle Royale games were being touted as the best thing ever, because you could always just drop in and drop out of said games whenever you wanted. What was that? You died literally two seconds after landing from the dropship? That’s fine, you can immediately quit and queue up for a new game. Doesn’t matter whether that other game is still going, you can just join a new game. That constant flow of players in and out of games helped make Battle Royales so easy to pick up and play. It didn’t matter if you died, you can… [Continue Reading]

[Pokemon GO] 5 Ways to Catch Pokemon Without Spawns

Of the many, many things Pokemon GO expects you to do every day to keep your streaks up, the most important is to catch a single Pokemon. Stardust is the most valuable of the non-premium currencies, requiring hundreds of thousands of the stuff to do all the important stuff in the late game, and the first-catch boost (and 7-Day streak bonus) is one of the best ways to keep stocked up with minimum effort. But sometimes that’s easier said than done. Perhaps you’re going on vacation to somewhere without much internet presence. Perhaps (like me) you ended up moving to a… [Continue Reading]

A Distinct Lack of Nightwave Content

One of the more recent patches for Warframe came with a strange piece of text. The maximum rank for Nightwave was changed from 60 to 90. But Nightwave only really goes up to rank 30, right? Rank 30, plus 30 more prestige ranks? Not quite. Those extra 30 ranks are what rank 60 was. Why did this happen? Because people did Nightwave tasks to the point that they would hit prestige rank 90. This small change points out a massive problem with Nightwave. There is not enough Nightwave content Or, at least, it doesn’t refresh regularly enough. You see, the… [Continue Reading]

4 Pokemon Who Never Found a Home

While I only started writing articles about Pokemon when Pokemon GO was released, I’ve been playing the core games since 2009 when my boyfriend gifted his copy of FireRed to me. The single best part of Pokemon is how it eases the player into falling in love with their own personal monsters, and subtly guides you to create a unique team that will wind up completely different to everyone else’s. Pokemon has also gone above-and-beyond at making sure players can always port their beloved teams forward through new generations of the games. Through features like PokeTransfer, Pal Park, and Pokemon… [Continue Reading]

Rhyhorn Community Day – Not Enough Rhyhorns

Rhyhorn is low-key one of my favourite Pokemon. This is the Pokemon I voted for back in the “Community Day Voting Event” thingy back at the beginning of the year, after searching Pokestops for the task. When we were presented with the four choices – Rhyhorn, Machop, Vulpix or Dratini, Rhyhorn won by quite a lot. And on February 22nd 2020, Rhyhorn finally got a Community Day. Now, Rhyhorn is a great Pokemon. Absolutely awesome. Sure, the Rhyhorn family is weak to Grass and Water, but it’s a strong, tanky Pokemon with a good combination of damage and bulk. More… [Continue Reading]

Buddy System? What Buddy System?

Hey, do you remember that buddy system in Pokemon Go? The buddy system where your Pokemon will help you do things and bring you gifts and things like that? Remember how fun and immersive it was? Recall how I thoroughly enjoyed it? I even have a Giratina, an Altered Forme version called Orokin Chonk. Who I eventually became Ultra and later Best Buddies with. Well, I forgot about the buddy system. Actually, that’s not true at all. I didn’t forget about the buddy system but I did stop writing about it. I am however going to write about it again.… [Continue Reading]

The Quantum Instability of Team Rocket Go Leaders

A few days ago, I decided to do a little bit of late night walking to clear my mind and to catch some Luvdics, because I had a research task that required me to catch them. I did a lot of walking, to the point that I ended up running into a guy who was trying to do a Team Rocket Go Leader. Cliff was being a massive pain in the ass, doing to us with his Pinsir what Arlo did to us with his Scyther and Scizor. Unfortunately, it was very late, to the point that the Team Rocket… [Continue Reading]

The 5 best Team Rocket counters in Pokemon GO

We’ve discussed good gym defenders, good gym attackers, good legacy moves, and good Community Day Pokemon in Pokemon GO. (And Metagross appeared on every list!) But nowadays, there’s a whole new element to the PvE experience: fighting Rockets! Yes, those dastardly Rockets are everywhere nowadays, taking over our Pokestops and challenging well-to-do trainers at the drop of a hat. Team Rocket Leaders up the ante, bringing a full set of shields and some seriously dangerous Pokemon with them, and things boil to a head with Giovanni and his shadow legendary birds. The combat system for fighting rockets is so different… [Continue Reading]
