Electabuzz and Magmar Community Days

Community Day in November came with a twist this year! Instead of the normal one community day, we got two! November’s Community Days featured Magmar and Electabuzz, as well as shiny babies and shiny evolutions. It was both a pleasant change and, well, a bit of a drag. But at least we got two cool shinies out of it! Straight to the point, Magmar Community Day was better than Electabuzz Community Day These community days ran one week after the other. Electabuzz Community Day was on Sunday 15th and Magmar Community Day was on Saturday 21st. Which meant most people… [Continue Reading]

Deimos Arcana, AKA I don’t have enough Pyrol

I don’t get the rarity some items have in Warframe sometimes. It’s just all over the place. Some items, despite being kinda meh, are locked away behind massive grinds. Others are, well, right there to grab. This has come up again in the Deimos Arcana update. Some of the new items are stupidly rare, some of them aren’t. It’s a very weird mess. The new Necramech is just… there. The biggest example of this whole strange rarity thing is the new Necramech. The Bonewidow and her new gun are just blueprints that Loid sells. You just go up to him… [Continue Reading]

Pokemon GO’s Beyond GO Update and Speculations Overall

Both my two main games right now have massive updates coming up. Warframe has Deimos Arcana, which may already out by the time you’re reading this. Pokemon GO on the other hand is going to have a MASSIVE update with huge changes. Not only will levels increase to level 50, but we’re going to be seeing changes to the spawning and more. The more technical places like the Silph Road are all over this stuff, and there’s a huge amount to talk about. And by huge, I mean huge. We’re basically talking about a fundamental change to Pokemon GO. Level… [Continue Reading]

The Feeling of Weight

I am a big fan of mecha. The holy grail of video games for me is a mecha game where I get to customize my own mech, which I can then pilot to pummel things that are my size or larger. And the keyword here is pummel. I am not looking to shoot something in my giant death machine with limbs, I am looking to clobber something with said limbs. However, there is always a niggling thought at the back of my mind whenever I’m thinking about a mech game: Is this a mecha game, or is it just a… [Continue Reading]

Daemon X Machina

The first I heard of this game, it was in Nintendo’s E3 2018 trailer. Just a little thing about me, but I like mechs as much as Medic likes dragons, and I always want a new mech action game. I mean, Into The Breach is nice, but I don’t want to play a mech game as a commander in an RTS. Piloting the giant machines is the fun part. I was extremely excited for the game until I realized it was, at the time, a Switch exclusive. So I just moved on until yesterday when I saw it on sale… [Continue Reading]

The Problem With Exalted Weapons

An Exalted Weapon in Warframe is an ability where you summon a magical weapon and wreck havoc with it. There are different types of Exalted Weapon and, generally, they drain energy as you use them, in exchange for sheer power. But while exalted weapons are both cool and powerful, they are not always consistent. And, sometimes, there are better options out there. Exalted Weapons are Harder to Mod The first big issue with exalted weapons is that they are finicky to mod. They’re not consistent and can’t use all mods. Originally, you actually couldn’t mod exalted weapons. Instead, they borrowed… [Continue Reading]

The Problem With The Steel Essence Farm

With the upcoming Deimos Arcana update, there’s going to be a lot of changes to a lot of things. Part of the changes include one to Steel Path. Particularly how you get Steel Essence. The Steel Path overall is a bit tedious. It’s the normal star chart but everything is way, way tankier. There’s only two reasons to do it: Mastery and Steel Essence, which can be traded in to Teshin for various rewards. But unless you go looking, Steel Essence is hard to come across. Currently, on the Heart of Deimos update, it has a chance to drop Eximus… [Continue Reading]

I Haven’t Seen An Aron In Ages – Constant Pokemon Go Events

A while back, I mentioned that I started a second Pokemon Go account, so I could re-experience (and eventually write about) the new player experience. The ‘little account’, as it is often called, doesn’t get out much. In fact, it mostly just sits at home. Adventure sync barely works on it, and I’m often too lazy to set up a mobile hotspot. So this little account mostly just sees spawns at home. That being said, I’ve made some good progress on the little account. It successfully completed the Team Rocket research for Mewtwo and has a Vullaby, a Pokemon I’ve… [Continue Reading]

My New Favourite Warframe Loadout

In the hours between failing the MR30 test and completing the MR30 test the next day, I went through a lot of resources. While I flailed around, I needed to try a lot of things. I went through various weapons and builds, not really sure what I was doing wrong. In the end, the problem wasn’t with my weapons, but my own performance. Anyway, when that was over, I decided to just dick around doing random missions. During which I used a slightly different version of what I used to do that MR30 test. Maybe it was the euphoria from… [Continue Reading]

A Look Back At Pokemon GO’s Halloween Event

Pokemon GO always has pretty good Halloween events, and this year was pretty good as well. There were lots of nice bonuses, lots of Pokemon to catch and plenty of shinies to not be caught. We also had plenty of smaller events alongside the Halloween spawns, and there was plenty of things to do. Of course, though, there were some downsides as well. Amazing event bonuses I mean, who doesn’t like double candy? Even if it’s for things like Gastly and Misdreavus. Ghost types, particularly Gengar and Chandelure, are always helpful Pokemon to have. We also got double transfer candy… [Continue Reading]
