IT HAPPENED! THE 7TH ISSUE CAME OUT!

IT’S A SMISSMAS MIRACLE! We’ve been waiting for issue 7 of the TF2 comic for 7 damn years. But it’s finally here and you should all go and read it right now. Yeah, seriously, stop reading this article and go and read the comic right now. It’s quite long. Then come back here when you’re done. If you want. No rush. We’ve waited 7 years already for this issue, make the most of it. I’ve already read it like 3 times now. You back? Have you read it? No? Go read it. In the mean time, I’m going to tell… [Continue Reading]

An Assortment of Things I Hate in the Team Fortress 2 Comic Series

So, the other day, I was discussing Team Fortress 2 lore with a friend. Together, we thought about lots of cool ideas. In fact, at some point, we are considering working together to re-write our own version of the Team Fortress 7-part series. But while we chatted, a lot of things came to my mind. While I do love the TF2 comics, there are a handful of things that really piss me off. In this article, I am not going to use spoilers. The last issue of the TF2 comic series came out over 4 years ago. Why did TFC… [Continue Reading]

Still, Still Waiting For That Final Issue

I’ve always loved the Team Fortress comics. While they are batshit insane and to a ton of stupid things that kinda mess with how the rest of Team Fortress 2 works and basically exist in a parallel universe compared to what you see in the games, there’s something about the comics that makes me spend ages sitting down and re-reading them. Even when I was only looking for a particular panel in one comic, I found myself reading through all 6 parts of the 7 part series. Which reminds me. It’s been over two and a half years since issue… [Continue Reading]

Team Fortress Comics #6 is out!

It’s only been forever (okay, nearly a year and a half) since the last issue, but woo boy, this one is a biggie! And by biggie, I mean it both in actual size and in content. Issue 6 comes in at a lovely 270-something individual panels and a LOT of new lore, as well as an ending that makes you want more but also makes you willing to wait for two and three quarter years for issue 7. Before we start, be warned, there are spoilers ahead. Although this is just an overview, so I won’t be discussing every detail… [Continue Reading]

Overwatch’s Tracer is Gay

The latest Overwatch comic came out (meanwhile us in the TF2 fandom forgot that was even possible…) and it shows the heroes going home for Christmas to spend time with their loved ones or lack thereof. The main story involves Tracer trying to reach the shops in time to buy a present, and the rest of this article is going to assume you’ve gone and read the comic. While its not the only major reveal in Overwatch canon that came out with this comic, it’s the one that’s got all the gaming news sites talking about it. The forums are also ripe… [Continue Reading]

How I think the rest of the TF2 comic will go

Alright. I’m done. I’m tired of the stupid TF2 comic continuing to not exist. It was supposed to be a bi-monthly comic, starting in August of 2013. TWO THOUSAND AND THIRTEEN. It is now July TWO THOUSAND AND SIXTEEN. IT HAS BEEN NEARLY THREE YEARS. SERIOUSLY WHAT THE FUCK? No, seriously, this is beyond ridiculous. It’s beyond Valve Time. It’s reaching Half-Life 3 levels of silliness. There’s more proof of the existence of Left 4 Dead 3 than there is for TF Comics #6. It’s depressing. So here I am, making up my own ending. Someone should buy me cookies… [Continue Reading]

Where is the TFC Medic?.. and other TFC Merc thoughts

The Team Fortress Classic mercenaries have long been thought dead, despite the fact that Team Fortress Classic itself is still playable (as is Fortress Forever, but that’s a whole separate thing!) and all that, with a tight knit community that will kick newbies’ asses from here to kingdom come. Point is, they’ve been alive the entire time despite looking like they came from the future. And the TF Comic series, which introduced us to more of the TFC mercs last time and proved that TFC Pyro was female, has been doing a fine job of getting them more time in… [Continue Reading]

TF Comics #5 is FINALLY here!

The fifth installment of the TF Comic series is finally here, after a stupidly long wait. Amazingly, it actually landed on the Monday deadline, disappointing those who hoped it’d miss the bi-yearly and yearly deadline. This comic is 79 pages of your normal Team Fortress comic-y action, featuring not one but two teams! And some other people. And crazy stuff. As always. So what are you waiting for, go read it! Meanwhile, I’ll just sit here, waiting for you to come back. Because I want to bulk this article out a little bit. I don’t like short articles really. *waits… [Continue Reading]

Predictions, Preditions – What will happen in TF Comics #5?

According to Jay Pinkerton, the writing person and one of the maniacs behind the TF Comic series, issue five of this damn thing is coming out on Monday 31st September. So it’s down to me to make an article speculating on what will happen in said comic. Among many, many things. One thing that saddens me is that the first thing people are speculating on is whether the comic will actually come out on Monday or not. That’s really depressing. Dota 2 basically sucked the comic writers dry. Before we begin, there’s a prize at stake here. I’ll give out… [Continue Reading]

“Where have you been sending it?” and other thoughts about Expiration Date

Welp, it’s been over a year since Expiration Date and the Love and War update in general was released. I know I should be looking at the Gun Mettle update, but I just don’t find it as interesting as the Love and War update. Gun Mettle came with a comic and a bunch of cosmetics and balance changes, Love and War came with a short movie, a bunch of weapons and some minor balance changes. It came with lore. Gun Mettle just had a stupid story involving Miss Pauling and Saxton Hale, and honestly I’m kinda sick of the pair… [Continue Reading]
